TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

win the division? with this defense!!! really. how? we are still behind washington and eagles.
Washington we arent far behind. That’s a ridiculous thing to say.

At worst even.

Philly is way ahead of us. No doubt.

The defense should have an elite pass rush.

Linebackers and secondary has some holes but also has potential answers.

If the offense can get leads this defense will cause problems with the pass rush alone.

I don't have a say in that...we needed a receiver, at least that's what most were crying about on draft day. Now we have one. I like it. Good players are needed everywhere.
we needed a reciever because last year's trade for a WR was a bad trade..

this FO is incompetent.

The Steelers fans on their sites aren't thrilled with losing him.......that's usually a good sign because they know his abilities best.

As I've posted, I'm only concerned when contract time comes because he may FEAST when facing single coverage and the numbers could be big

On the surface trading a 3rd and change for this guy is a no brainer. The guy is good and could be really good for our offense as our field stretching deep threat, which he excels at. I will say that I'm happy they addressed the issue. And that they went after a top tier talent to do so. Our WR room is definitely a lot deeper with him, Lamb, Mingo, Tolbert, Flournoy, Campbell, Brooks and Turpin.

When the smoke clears, you have to wonder about his maturity, his character, how he's going to react to being traded, how he going to react to be the clear #2, how he'll react to being the 3rd or sometimes 4th option in the passing game and what it will take to re-sign him long term, if they choose to do so.

There are some major red and yellow flags that will need to be addressed and handled well for this work out for both parties. I'll be watching intently to see how it goes.

Again, I applaud the team for being aggressive, but I wonder if they went aggressive for the wrong guy? None of us know that answer for sure, yet. Time will tell.

Philly also has the best RB in football and 2 top WR's.

AJ Brown is often considered a disgruntled WR.

They seem to find a way to pay both. So can we.
our FO sucks. the one main reason they traded for pickens was because last year's trade for Mingo was a disaster. and Pickens will sell more jerseys.

Then why was it SAID publicly by the head coach?

Because there’s no real plan. It’s a player collection thing.
McCarthy and Garrett said it too. I assumed it was a yearly tradition. I don’t care what they say in public long as they have a plan. And what we know is they invested heavily in Dak and Lamb and I don’t think it is to be a power running team.

The fact the Steelers, a actually better run organization wanted to get rid of a young talented receiver, should give everyone pause...the guy has been a major headache in Pittsburgh..so much for the NEW culture theme!!
It’s football. Players win games.

We just got a stud.

The Cowboys culture is always going to be the Cowboys culture. Schottenheimer is not changing the circus that is the Dallas Cowboys regardless of who steps on that field.

We got a big play guy and big plays win football games.

Fans also love talent that occasionally makes spectacular plays. But they never have to deal with the behind-the-scenes headaches.

Now that’s what you do Jerry! Trade for players that can actually play football!

Although we shut this kid down last year, but every other time he gets open a lot. He is the perfect #2 as the go route is his strength.

The defense is built to play with a lead.

The offense is built to play from behind.

That ought to add up.

Dominant DT play wins in the end, and that’s this teams weakness. It’s about headlines and player collecting.
