It's a savvy trade but for the wrong player and wrong position.

Infinitely better than the Mingo trade.

The real question is, how is he going to get along with lamb. Are they both going to want the ball, obviously , this is where coaching comes into play. Can you make it work?

Ma'am you made my morning somebody with common sense literally you're dead on and you know what you know how many of these alleged diva personalities are in the Hall of Fame especially at wide receiver guys like Terrell Owens it followed him around everywhere he never was a bad guy he never was a locker room cancer a man was passionate.. Yes some of those can be looked at from the outside as a locker room cancer but in in the end it's not true and we get that we get to see it for ourselves.

. This guy is not just a backup wide receiver he's a 1B.... Look it's TBDI knew people were gonna complain about this literally I knew that we're gonna come on here and give bad grades after they've been crying jerry knows anything but they hate Jerry so much they won't even give him credit for a good trade..

This is far better than Amari Cooper Debo Samuels Brandon Cooks Keenan Allen Michael Gallup just to name a few I mean Cooper Cup would have been nice but he had a down year last year he's injury prone and old this guy has more upside than any of these guys...
Can mingo play some tight end he has great blocking abilities

Majority of steelers fans upset about return for a talented player. Knew they would likely end up with 3rd or 4th for him next year with compensatory picks.

People are saying he will be a headcase not getting the ball (not ruling this out), but his last 3 years were 52, 63 and 59 catches. In comparison, Tolbert caught 49 last year and Cooks caught 54 the year before (Ferguson had 71). Pickens is much more talented. Does anyone belive his catches will go down? I bet he sees a higher volume than years past and he will be playing with the best qb he's had on the most explosive offense.

I think this is a low risk and high reward trade. Excellent move.

A+

Let’s get real here. An elite talent like this isn’t available for a 3rd round pick. The Eagles got Johan Dotson for similar compensation. These are not the moves Dallas typically makes. When I heard it I prayed it wasn’t for a 2nd. It was for a 3rd and some late round picks.

It comes with risks. But low risks.

This is what we asked for. Win now move. And who knows what bus value is maybe we bring him back. Worst case? We lose him and we get a comp pick. There’s no risk.

Go find us a 1T and maybe a vet running back and I’m good.

You think a good coach like Tomlin dumped Pickens because the press talked him into it?
He's not being dumped he's being moved what's the difference you're trying to tell me all these guys moving around like Devante Adams and Deandre Hopkins and Brandon Cooks just to name a few the receivers and other players are moving around all the time they don't want to pay the man for whatever reason they're making the change it happens all over the NFL and you're saying he's being cut because he's a locker room cancer and nobody wants him well what about everyone else why did DJ Metcalf and lock it be cut off of Seattle and traded why did they move on from Gino Smith are you saying these are all bad moves no moves are made changes are inevitable life is about change it's a constant flow of change..

Trying to make this like players we brought in like Amari Cooper I mean people love that train that was a first round pick this is a 3rd round pick and a swap of a late round pick for a 1B receiver but Amari Cooper is moving around in his career as well so as OBJ so has other guys and other positions they just constantly move around it's just part of the new sports and especially the new NFL this isn't used to happen people are not used to it but they're more player movement than I've ever seen it happens.

I mean why did the Kansas City Chiefs move on from Ward you remember you guys were upset he he got traded here for a cup of coffee well he went there and played very well got a couple rings and they didn't want to pay him so they let him go?

There is nothing diabolical here there is nothing to see here about this guy's being moved because they hate the guy they're just making changes they don't even have a damn quarterback why do they need two number one receivers?

You guys are insufferable guys move around all the time they're free agents out there coming from other teams that are great and you guys want them but why aren't we talking about them the same way where's all that energy from like the linebacker Warner or the pass rusher Von Miller

This is my last example why did the Tennessee Titans allow Derek Henry to walk dudes a Saint also why did the Tennessee Titans trade AJ Brown I mean when the Eagles do something like this it's no big deal we're trying to find a conspiracy theory because we're picking up a great young player with a lot of upside literally bolsters our wide receiver group and you guys want to just lift your leg on it you guys are insufferable..

I mean why did the Giants do something stupid and allow Barkley to walk this happens on a regular basis in the NFL and you're trying to find negative things in it and I'm sorry but Terrell Owens and Dez Bryant and Keyshawn Johnson and Antonio Brown there's a lot of Hall of Famers in here that were also considered in the same view...

an easy answer today's NFL has a lot of player movement and some surprises and trades it doesn't have to be negative it's only negative because you don't want to give Jerry credit for making a good move

you're right whirlwin. Most of these WRs today are tough to manage. It's a lot to dump on a first time ever head coach. But, it's an aggressive move and now we wait and see.

Can mingo play some tight end he has great blocking abilities
NO.. We can just cut that off right now he's going to have to work his way onto this roster the Cowboys are not going to give up on him yet because they gave a 4th for him but that doesn't guarantee anything but this is his last chance but all the other guys Peyton Hillis Cropper Brooks some of the other names that are typical camp guys they're probably not going to see a single snap this year they're going to be inactive and on the practice squad and probably moving on.

We have enough tight ends to choose from if they stay healthy...

Absolutely horrific move for a headcase in the final year of contract and will want a mega deal next year

Hard to imagine a worse deal unless we give him the mega deal as well

Come on you’re supposed to have vision , I’m worried about this season. I could care less about the next one.

Every time I turn on TV to watch a Steelers game, Pickens catches 95% of the balls and Friarmuth catches the rest.

That's how the laymen views the Steelers passing game.
