BullThings that don't happen for $100 Alex
BullThings that don't happen for $100 Alex
Tomlin also hasn't won a playoff game in 9 yrsIn most cases in terms of players, it was purely financial. Tenn refused to pay Brown what he wanted. Giants didn't want to pay Barkley what Philly gave him.
It wasn't a financial decision for the Steelers. They had grown tired of his antics, which are WELL documented. Tomlin literally called him out in a press conference.
Again pretending that this isn't a thing with Pickens is strange. Hope it works out and I might have more faith if we had an organization that has a track record of reigning these types in but sadly, we are not that kind of franchise.
There has been no indication that he is only a 1 year rental.Except that Pickens in in the last year of his contract and will most likely be too expensive for the Cowboys to re-sign. He will not be a Cowboys when the Steelers are on the clock on day 2 of the 2026 draft with the Cowboys 3rd round pick.
Maybe Mingo is not the guy. Then why did the Cowboys trade a 4th round pick for him just 5 months ago? And if Mingo really is not the guy then the trade was a bust, so why trust the Cowboys with this trade?
Pickens is a good player, but for 1 year, if that's what it turns out to be, it is not worth it for a team that is not 1 WR away from a Super Bowl. This time the Cowboys gave up 2 draft picks, including a precious 3rd round pick.
I just do not think this trade makes sense for this team.
I agree with this."A" for effort but wrong culture for this player. The good news is the team just got a lot more interesting. The bad news is Mike Tomlin couldnt make it work with this player.
you think cee dee would be a model citizen if he was playing with the Steelers QBs?Just what the Cowboys need, another malcontent!
Tomlin also has a history of failure with some guys (particularly WRs). Not sure why he's seen as some sort of guru, where if he can't manage a player, nobody else could.Tomlin also hasn't won a playoff game in 9 yrs
Game one after the 2nd behind the wr throwHow many games before he throws Dak under the bus?![]()
???You can’t designate a trade. It was pre-June1
Im asking myself why everyone keeps praising the Steelers. A team with no qb, probably the worst offense in the league, and very likely the worst team in their division this year. Tell me more about the Steelers. He won't get a third round comp contract. Those almost never happen.
It's not low risk when your ask yourself why a smart franchise like Pittsburgh dumped him. When have any of their other problem WRs worked out elsewhere?
He's UFA. no 5th year option. There has been no indication that he is only a 1 year rental.
Maybe if we don't accomplish anything this season and let him walk then I could agree.
I just don't have any reason to assume we traded for him with the intentions of letting him walk away.
Even then we get a compensatory pick.
The offseason has been awesome.Great off season ?
Our HC hire was underwhelming.
We signed no free agents of note.
Where is this great off season you speak of ?
Arch GMFB. They explained why he had issues in Pittsburgh.3rd rounder plus a late pick swap for a guy in his final season with character issues.
Not ideal... Good player, but if struggled to fit in at Pittsburgh, not sure how a move to the big lights in Dallas helps him at all.
I don't agree that is was ever purely financial for any of those teams. What I am saying is they are choosing not to pay them because they didn't feel the players were worth the asking price. Especially with AJ Brown who has already shown he has some personality issues and has pouted and shown to be a me first player. In most cases in terms of players, it was purely financial. Tenn refused to pay Brown what he wanted. Giants didn't want to pay Barkley what Philly gave him.

Which is why I was basiclly absent form this place most of last year. It just gets depressing and not very enjoyable to just listen to people that wake up, kick their dog, tell their wife she is getting fat, and then jump on Cowboys Zone to spread some cheer. When they don’t do anything people complain. When they do something people complain. I sit back and enjoy the show..
It won’t matter if Mingo is our 3rd receiver.Kinda signals giving our 4th this year for Mingo wasn’t a genius move. That’s what I always conplain about is plan. All decisions have to be coordinated to be effective. A 4th could have got you a player who could help this year. Now your 4th is gonna be fighting for a roster spot and be 3rd WR at best. I think Turpin is better WR3 option most of the time
Contract yearPickens won’t get #1 money unless one, they wait to resign him and two, he absolutely blows up this year. The former is possible, the latter is unlikely given Lamb and the run/pass ratio were likely to pursue.
Who said they missed on Mingo? Mingo can play in this offense.Missing on Mingo doesn't mean we made a bad trade for Pickens.
Are you worried we didn't just significantly upgrade our WR position?
Doubt 99 year old Jerry cares about selling a few jerseys at this point.
