The Pickens trade makes me like our draft even more

I highly disagree with you. Nothing wrong with having Mingo, Turpin, Tolbert and Flournoy filling the 3 and 4 spots. Then throw Blue out there creating mismatches as well.
that list looks just fine w/ out mingo. i'd rather have the fourth. all good though, i understand your happiness. i don't share it.

Draft was loaded with RBS and they were all gone in round 4. Unless Mafah is in the best shape of his life, he won't make the roster. Blue is teams only chance at a rookie running back doing anything to contribute. His speed is his calling card. Everything else we will just have to wait and see. Draft was loaded with big uglies on Defense and team waited until the 7th round. Toia is arguably good value but 8 DT went in round 5 and 6. LB was a need and the position had plenty of strong candidates available in the 5th. They just drafted the wrong guy. The first 3 picks were good. After that they lost their way.

I’m not co-signing the move but the HC who specializes in coaching LBs must have really wanted the LB they moved up for in the 5th. So it’s safe to say they got “their guy”. Have to believe he’ll have every opportunity to get defensive snaps early on. Hopefully it works out

it’s not hate. it’s bad resource usage. i don’t hate him, he’s on the team and i wish him well. it was a bad trade and now made worse. you are delusional
You might want to wait and see. He can catch the ball and he is a beast at blocking. He looks like a good fit on this team.

Yes I would have loved to have a big nasty on defense and specifically in the middle, but Booker has completely won me over and I like what he can do for the run game, and to protect from the dts in our division. My biggest concern though was that with a one dimensional passing game running would prove extremely difficult. Also as much as I've drank the koolaid on Blue, I have been worried about his impact for similar reasons. But with GP in tow, I really like how our pick your poison offense is fleshing out. Imagining blue, turpin, lamb and pickens all lined up is really giving me heart palpitations.

Would still love to take a flier on Chubb as well, but honestly with all of our holes heading into the draft, this is honestly nearly a dream scenario imo.
You do realize that that's exactly when they made the choice when TET wasn't there when their other top choices weren't there they went offensive line they absolutely said during the draft they don't see a clear number two on this team and they would seek outside sources it literally said that it aimed at the time they were already inquiring about Pickens people just like to get impatient and not let them try to get this team built before they start crying how bad we're going to be..

Chubb would be a nice addition but don't act like we need that look at our offense now who exactly are they gonna cover and we have to assume the TEs are probably gonna get better but I can imagine with Pickens and lamb on the outside turpin in motion and blue coming out of the backfield we're talking about they're going to have to pick their poison then you can have a average running back for The Dirty yards you do not need a player to be that dominant as your workhorse back if you have these other people taking those people out of the box this type of offense the targets can remove people from the box that opens up the run game. So when you improve the offensive line you improve your targets you don't have to be great at running back who is the running back for the Rams when they won the Super Bowl?

I mean literally up until last year's Saquan Barclays the biggest name to win since Terrell Davis emmett Smith there's been a lot of average running backs beyond Super Bowl teams and Super Bowl winning teams you don't need to have that type of guy if you have everything else in place...

I'm not saying I wouldn't mind Nick Chubb here but I think we still have other holes to fill before worrying about a running back. I mean they literally brought in two running backs off the street they drafted two running backs and they're fixing the offensive line so I think right now they want to see where that goes before they start reaching for a veteran outside of this room right now...

It's not worse because the middle of last year they had no idea they were going to need to draft or go out and make a trade you you couldn't forecast you were bringing in Pickens they decided this after the draft..

Yes it was a bad 4th to use on Mingo but it doesn't look worse not at all he was drafted to Caroline and Caroline is dumping their whole entire wide receiver room the last two years they picked legged and he doesn't look good either this happens all across the league it doesn't make it worse it makes it the same he may still turn out to be a good player you're just trying to find things to complain about can the complaint department be shut down for one damn day let's enjoy what just happened one damn day just shut it down.

All the experts in here needs to take a step back and go take a nap and let some people have a little relief and be positive for once stop bringing up mingo stop bringing up the 4th round picks that were already lost it's too late you can't cry over spill milk just replace the damn milk which they did and now we're just see how this stacks up this year when they play real games.
Don't worry about Mingo a couple years from now and we could talk about how bad it was yes using a fork was terrible that doesn't mean he's not going to find a way to become a better player and still make this team nothing was made worse by bringing George Pickens in here!!..

sure. he's talented, so if he plays well i will revise my opinion. i'm operating off of what we know and have seen presently.

You didn't notice the qb not getting him the ball when he is open for a td or his outstanding blocking? It was right there for you to see.

Not addressing WR was a big complaint for many here, but other than Tmac and Hunter, a lot of the other guys may not have been early difference makers. So I'm with you that between the draft and this acquisition most fans should feel better about this offseason.

I would gladly consider Chubb over Williams or Sanders. Maybe he's not the same post injury, but

No it doesn't. Who was the can't miss prospect they missed @ 114? Probably taking Blue there instead of round 5.
why is the bar "can't miss" when the guy we have has been a collosal bust? but guys i'd have been happier to walk away with are etienne, sampson, jack sawyer, lathan ransom, royals. that's not the point though, the point is that being pushed further down the depth chart unquestionably makes the move look worse.

That's the problem it's never been his talent or playing on the field... He means see how he plays he's a proven commodity people on actual espn in places we usually don't like you know like good morning football said this was an absolute massive trade for the Cowboys they're giving it an A plus but somehow our pigs need proof 0 that's why your name is proof you need to see it no he may or may not have had problems in the locker room or maturity problems on the sideline you know much like Terrell Owens you know Antonio Brown you know Le'veon Bell you know Dez Bryant you know players throughout history that have been known to be elite also maybe divas but you need to see the proof you don't need to see the proof his actual production level is not the problem and look at what he played with over there they don't even have a quarterback right now it was a quarterback carousel..

His productions not why he's being traded they're making a move they felt was best for the team at the moment better players than him have been traded recently or not been resigned like Saquan Barkley that's fact guys we ran all the time I don't know how many times Deandre Hopkins and Stefan Diggs and Devante Adams Amari Cooper brandon Cooks I mean II can't even name them all they move around players move around teams make decisions it is what it is there's nothing sinister about this there's no conspiracy he's going to come here try to learn the offense and once he does he's a 1B but if he's just a 2 that's great this is better than anything we could have expected and nobody's truly happy with it...

Keyshawn Johnson writes a book throw me to damn ball started this way back then with the diva stuff he's not the first one and he won't be the last this happens lots of players can be passionate you got Miles Garrett swinging helmets at opponents and other guys doing dirty stuff on the field or yelling and screaming at their quarterback we've seen some stuff from AJ brown with Jalen Hurtz last year you don't remember that yeah there was a little drama he didn't like he wasn't getting the ball I mean is he a locker room cancer or is he just a passing a football player that wants to win he wants the ball??

Mingo is a colossal bust? Yeah, no. Why not wait to judge him after he actually plays a season with an NFL QB. No one on your list screams better prospect, and the Cowboys had Blue as RB3. He was the most likely the pick @ #114.

because we're talking about current and present. yes as of now he's a bust. it's incredibly difficult to wash out of carolina. and they don't have to scream better prospect, he was a very intriguing prospect ... and then busted. there was some opportunity to salvage value with the way our number 2 and 3 spots were so volatile, but w/ pickens now in town it's going to be very difficult.
