If Philly, Washington, Detroit, or anyone else made this trade!

No, it’s because the rest of those teams rosters are in ready to win mode and can afford to be doing ‘win now.’ type final piece moves.

If you think this run defense is at the point where they can afford to be trading a premium pick for a WR rental with some other baggage, well then I suppose we can respectfully disagree.

Not to mention the other questions like….is the OL going to play better as a unit (especially at T), are the rookie RBs going to pan out, what going on at corner….and is the QBs hammy going to stay in tact.

Nothing wrong with improving. Buying rentals with premium picks that they may still need to build with is a different story.
Will be funny when we go 11-6 next year and make the 2nd round
Every single year especially when you have this much invested in QB you have to field the best team possible

All 3 of those teams have a QB that has proven they can get to a Championship game so adding a piece for them makes complete sense. When you have a playoff failure at QB, it's just wasting resources. Pickens doesn't move the needle, with this QB, we can and I think will make playoffs and then he fail like he always does regardless of who the WR are.
Every team has been to the championship game recently in the nfc besides Dallas

Those teams don't have complete scrubs at the QB position so adding WR talent wouldn't be a complete waste of time, maybe that's why.

If any other team made this trade everyone would be saying great trade bla bla etc ! Since the cowboys made it it’s a terrible trade ! I want everyone to take a picture of this Washington will not make the playoffs next year ! Everyone is going off 1 game against Detroit making them Super Bowl contenders! Hell they won at least 5 games they should had lost ! Plus Dallas beat them with a backup Qb and had them beat with a 3rd stringers they could had been 9-8 easy !
This right here

Until the most important position in football is addressed being the QB. All this trade does is rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

To be fair, those teams have had some success so people would view them as going from really good to great.

The Cowboys have not had any post-season success so many Cowboys fans feel like adding a potentially great player that also comes with some personal on-field issues is more like "Lucy holding the ball for Charlie Brown to kick".

I am a firm believer in trying to upgrade your team so I am happy with bringing in talent as long as it doesn't require mortgaging the future of the Cowboys draft.

That said, the Cowboys have a history of drafting injured-would-have-been-day-1-pick-if players and trading for other team's good-but-has-issues players and none of those things has yielded post-season success.

For Cowboys fans who have been through the 30 years of failed season after failed season, it's understandable they would not be overly excited about any free agent signing or draft pick regardless of who it was.

In the end, it's still Lucy holding the ball for the 30th time and the fans deciding if this time, she's going to actually let them kick it.

I like this better than the Deebo trade. We got the better WR

Yeah great trade. Give up critical draft capital for a diva who wants to be a no 1 receiver. He will whine and complain all year then sign someone else.

I’m sure he’ll be pleased being WR2 and signing for significantly less than top WR1s are signing for these days. Pickens seems like a genuinely team oriented fellow. Humble and gracious.

All three of those quarterbacks proved they could get to a championship game or all three of those TEAMS proved they could get to championship game?

Based on what you're saying, that means Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles were much better quarterbacks than Dan Marino and Jim Kelly because Dilfer and Foles proved they could win a Superbowl and Marino and Kelly couldn't, correct?

As a matter of fact, according to what you're saying.... Colin Kaepernick was a better quarterback than Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson because Kaepernick proved he could get to a Superbowl and Allen and Jackson hasn't, am I right?
