rumors have been on going since last season, that DeForest Buckner was on the trading block. He's on the last year of his contract. Send the Colts a late round draft pick and gets put the cherry on top of this offseason. All in!

I'm down with that easily but have not seen or read about the catch 22 in this scenario just yet.
Why would the Colts accept a late round pick>

Jerry already made his big flashy move, a sizeable number of gullible fans are on a high right now calling him a genius and talking about our turnover season, going to the NFCCG, etc. He has no reason to add someone else, his job is done.

Hook, line and sinker. The kool-aid drinkers have been played once again.

You need to grab a large glass of Kool-Aid and put down the Fool-Aid.

It must be awful to be this miserable.

I appreciate that you at least suggested a player!

Buckner is a terrific 3 tech DT and is an all-pro but didnt Indy sign him to a big two year deal?

I haven’t seen anything that indicated he was even on the market.

They just resigned him to a 2 year extension through 2026 with all of it guaranteed including the last season of his previous contract.
Not something you would normally do if you were wanting to trade someone.
The dead cap to trade him would be 37 million and his cap hit for this season is 26.
For 11m accelerated into their cap I’d think they’d want something more significant than a late round pick.
More along the lines of a 2nd!
Don’t much think anyone would be interested in trading a 2nd for a 31yo backup 3tech!

I am in. I thought he'd be a target with Fluss as DC.

I think when cuts start they can upgrade nickel corner, Wr3 and swing tackle too.

BTW just from a team building standpoint. I think Pickens is a stud BUT had they signed an Adams to be wr2 they wouldn't need to trade picks for wr2. But at least they filled the glaring need.

We just got a 330, or 345 pound defensive tackle in the draft

he is right you know. I had been saying this since mid last season. Jerry is great in selling hope and generating interest. I said it back then, he will make a few splashy moves to bring fans back. this is wash, rinse repeat and fans like you and few others fall for it every time.

prepare to be disappointed.

And? We all know about the last 30 years. But if you choose to be miserable and not be happy with anything and look forward to the new season, that's on you. Be miserable. Nobody really cares what a 'super fan' you are in your misery.
