The Cowboys will probably get the #1 overall pick in 2026

So the Cowboys "owed" Dak $60mm/year? And now that you agree he can't carry the load, how do you make those 2 incongruent thoughts get along?
Yeah he was owed 60 mill. If he got it it was owed to him. If he can’t carry the load oh well. Cowboys signed them they better figure it out. That’s their job.

Not only was he not factually "owed" anything, but the fact that you frame it that way shows why you are a confused groupie for Dak. Their job is not to give what you and he FEELS he is "owed". Entitlement and handouts...damn...giving us a bad name with that mentality.

Naw….you not like “us”. Let’s get that understood.

The amount of change will be too much, and certain problems remain.
Contrary to what I posted before, I don't think Joe Milton is the answer. I watched him at Tennessee, and was really surprised he made it to the NFL.
I had him mixed up with Hendon Hooker, who preceded him at UT. He may be better than I think, but at Tennessee he was not yet a fully skilled leader. Joshua Dobbs was the better of these three quarterbacks, but Hooker is very good, too.
And that's the problem with today's college game; the quarterbacks barely stay a year, and then they leap to the NFL draft.
Milton is very talented, but whether or not he is ready for the NFL remains to be seen.
But the Cowboys remain without a capable leader under center, and that doesn't bode well for any team- much less a team struggling to adapt to a new coach.
I think Schottenheimer may have great potential, but he is taking the reigns at a bad time.
Not to mention a defense that is also rebuilding under new leadership.
I think 1-16 is very possible for this squad. If they struggle early, I think the wheels come off early.
This team has enough former first round picks at every position,. They’re going to make excellent coaches for the younger players. First overall picnic season LMAO oh that’s right your buddy left didn’t he Cooper Rush lol is that why we’re going to lose

The Cowboys are going to lose because of several reasons, but Dak Prescott will be a big reason.
He will not hold up if the East is competitive like last year.
He will choke when the pressure is on and Schottenheimer will get the blame.

He hasn’t choked before, so why should he choke now. I’m just worried about the injuries.

Are you serious when you say he hasn't choked before?
I just think the overall change, coupled with the fact that the Cowboys don't have a leader under center, will be too much for them this season.
Jerry hasn't focused on making the Cowboys an elite team, but just "good enough" to sell tickets. He has instead counted on other teams continuing to be weaker, and hoped that the Cowboys level of play would be good enough to beat them. That would sell tickets, and that's all he cared about.
This Cowboys team is built to be average or slightly above average, with the hopes that their opponents would be below average. And for many years it was good enough to win a weak NFC East. But it's not anymore.
Because this Cowboys franchise doesn't strive for excellence, they fall short when they face other franchises that do.

Did Patrick Mahomes choke in the Super Bowl. Or was Philly defense just too good..
I don’t think you know what it means to choke

Since becoming the starting quarterback in 2018, he has led the Chiefs to five Super Bowl appearances and seven consecutive AFC Championship Games. In 2018, he was named the AP NFL MVP after throwing for 50 touchdowns and 5,097 yards.

Compare that to Dak

His team went to championship games. He choked twice according to you.
That’s what I figured your response would be,
So it’s the quarterback’s fault for everything LMAO I wonder who’s really blinded by the headlights
And I’m not really even at Prescott fan, I just know the truth of who’s fault it is
