So we're just supposed to forget the whole Mingo for a 4th rounder?

I did not like the Mingo trade, however he was probably at the same level of the receivers that went in the 4th round this year. So I'm not losing sleep over it.

exactly. all the moves jerry makes are in a silo, addressing issues at the moment. people were not filling seats in the stadium last year, so he makes a trade hoping to generate some hope. a name people may like. just to get through last season....and now, he makes a move to generate interest and fill seats for 25 season. we will do something in 26, when we get there. who cares.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with the trade. He fits on the team as a 3 or 4 receiver. The upside is good. Stupid evaluation on your part.

Yeah , the rudeness just for the sake of being rude and contrary is unacceptable on this MB. Most are good posters, friendly debaters, but it's that fraction of 1% that ruins it for all of us.
 
Mingo can go to camp and compete for the WR3 role, and provided he does well Mingo could be WR2 next season. Pickens possibly not be a culture fit or just not like a lowball Cowboys offer and walk. There's still an opportunity for Mingo to work out.

I don't think that is fair to broadbrush every so called homer in that light. Like any fanbase, you have some that will support anything the team does,blindly. But that's their right. We need more fans or homers like this in my opinion. We got too many nervous Nancy's pretending to be real fans. I find it refreshing when I see a fan or homer be excited for the coming season. Frankly, the past is the past, look at the here and now, we have much to be excited about. Let's be positive. We can criticize the owner and team when needed later. Believe me, I will. But for now, there's much to like. Let fans or homers be happy for once, instead of being rude to them. Let them have their fun, and joy.

This. I agree. Now he's got no pressure on him. Nobody really is frantic over the third wr. I think this kid might win that job. He's young, bigger, and never has had a fair chance in Carolina. Now he will. I think he's better than Tolbert just rolling out of bed lol.

it very well may work out. here's hoping it does. at the time it was an overpay that nearly everyone outside of this forum agreed on. then we actually got him and he's done nothing as of yet, and now we grabbed someone to push him further down the depth chart. i don't see anything wrong with the thinking personally. also don't think it's inherently miserable or being a so called fan to not be a fan of the move.

yet debbie downers are allowed to litter the board with negative posts day after day and expect no rebuttals? I get it 30 years is a long time but hopefully the downers aren't this way as they approach life. Its too short and so is the football season. I choose to embrace it as positive as I can. Do I think we should be snotty with each other ? No but I understand how and why people can be sick of the negativity.
