Thank you Jerry

Well, yeah, and, for me, I'm looking forward to this season more than I was last season. Last season was pretty clear it wasn't going to go well. This season actually feels a little bit better. There's actually a path forward it feels like.
Injury alone doesn't obstruct all views of team or potential, now!

My apologies. Let me clarify what I mean by 'orchestrating'.

Will McClay and Brian Schottenheimer are doing their work--analyzing college and NFL players--making recommendations for the team roster, through addition and subtraction (e.g. drafting, signing, waiving, etc.). Both of those men and other front office personnel present their recommendations to the Mad Genius and DNA Kid #1.

Admittedly, they may also be doing most of the initial legroom work, like contacting other franchises about their players' availability. I will not even debate that.

However, ALL of McClay's, Schottenheimer's, and others efforts are assimilated, executed or denied (e.g. orchestrated) by Jerry and Stephen Jones. Zero final decisions are made by anyone in the front office--outside of those two--concerning players and coaches coming or exiting the team's employment.

So, to answer your question, the two idiots are involved in the overall process DESPITE whatever <percentage> of any and everything McClay and Schottenheimer have done and will continue doing. Jerry and Stephen Jones are making moves, even if McClay and Schottenheimer did everything for them in advance except maybe wiping the drool from their chins afterwards
Totally disagree to this limiting overhead view. Those two are only responsible but reacting to direction by the staff, both in coaches and scouting in responsibility.

Jerry and Stephen, at this stage, only check off other's directions and are working on new contracts for the future and cap directions.

I don't believe that Hitler ended up in Argentina, but others of his guys, did. In other words, just theories non functional in final analysis.

Yeah, thanks Jerry. Sincerely.

Jerry has vastly improved his trading prowess when it comes to acquiring receivers.

He started out with two 1st round picks for Joey Galloway.

When he traded for Roy Williams jr, he was able to talk them down to one 1st round pick and one 2nd round pick.

By the time he got to Amari Cooper, it was down to a single 1st round pick.

And now the last two trades for Mingo and Pickens are down to middle round picks.

Who cares how they work out? (And if you are the optimistic type, don't look up the stats for Galloway and Williams.)

Great job! Thank you for holding on to those 1st and 2nd round picks.

I do not mean this in a sarcastic manner. I actually do mean it when I say "Thank you Jerry." I ripped him to pieces last year when I felt he wasn't showing effort. This offseason, I do see effort from him. So, with that, I must credit him for the effort. I'm NOT sure how the season will go, but I do see effort to try to improve the team. For that, I'm glad to see.

Aside from the Mingo trade, I like the moves we have made in the trades. I like the draft. I'm onboard with the Pickens trade. Is it just me, or is Jerry actually keeping relatively quiet and actually doing something? So, yeah, thank you Jerry for showing effort this offseason.
This offseason has been significantly more fun. Once I got used to the idea of Schotty being the coach this offseason has had a different vibe. More positive, more hopeful. I agree with some other posters that it can’t undo 30 years of meddling but in the moment it’s been a fun offseason. So for that I’m grateful for Jerry making an effort. I’m excited about the season again.

Exactly, and it's nice to see

It will be at least slightly more interesting to see what happens this season, but I'm not thanking Jerry for that. This season comes after a total toss-off season punctuated with one of the worst contracts Jerry has ever given out. So...nah, I'm not thanking Jerry just yet.

Sharks can lead one to the location of the 6,000 American ships sunk by German submarines prior to the end of WWII. Just figure out why and follow Bull sharks to locate the respect due. On our off shore locations. Oh, and much of it was not the Gulf of America.

Jerry is the worst owner and GM in sports
His teams have absolutely ZERO chance of winning a SB which is the objective of playing in the NFL

ZERO

This thread misleads people into thinking Jerry is the one doing all the legwork when I highly doubt either him or DNA nepo-child is lifting a finger to do anything. Like you said, I think it's all Schotty and McClay presenting the ideas and suggestions this time. But once the honeymoon, probably even before training camp starts, booger will revert back to what he does best (or worst).

Ref the bold: you have to care about winning first, and I haven't seen that in Jerry since 1993.

HAve to say you are right (sorry acr). Hard to believe anything gets decided by anyone but a Jones. Right on down to T.P. in stadium crappers.
No need to apologize. I wasn't suggesting that booger didn't have a say in the final decisions. Like DE, I just have a hard time thanking booger for something that possibly wasn't even his or DNA spawn boys idea.

The whole group is still a team. Jerry and Stephen are part of that team...they all are after a result. Credit can be who one gives it to, but functional aspects don't devolve in that way as to accountable. Success is a team element.

English please.

At the end of the day, every wide receiver in the league is going to selfishly want the ball in their hands. Who wouldn't? With Lamb and Pickens uniting, it gives them both an opportunity to flourish since defenses can only divert so much attention to one before the other gets open.

"CeeDee is a super dynamic receiver, super dynamic person, player," Pickens said. "I just feel like schematically you won't be able to double everybody, so that'll be a great thing for me and him."
