Pickens - "I'm grateful to be here. I'm grateful to play with Dak."

So...you have ...seriously please...never used "they" before?

You ALWAYS use the specific names?

Interesting.

Let's see...Jerry, Stephen, Dak...just off the top of my head.

Really digging down deep...which I can respect...but man, if this is the kind of detail you always expect , life must drive you totally crazy!
Jerry and Stephen dont pla and never CAME here making any announcement. Dak showed up as a rookie and has never, ever been a problem.

Do you remember a guy named Amari Cooper?
Do you remember a guy named Albert Haynesworth?
Do you remember a guy named Terrell Owens?

Who said they were out to get people?
cooper and TO produced when they were here, I dont give a damn abotu anything they said.

Haynesworth, what exactly was it that he said?

You fellas need to relax.

I feel like I came home from pulling a double, only to find my roommates and their crazy cousin, drunk and trying to solve the world’s problems.

I’m going to my room.

Must have touched a little nerve..go take a ride on your moped and blow off some steam. Make sure the batteries are charged. Lol, i see your girlfriends gave you likes.
For a guy who is always righting off his crap talking as "just joking" you sure don't seem to have any semblance of a real sense of humor.

You called someone out for whining then I called you out for whining then I called myself out for whining, putting us both in the same boat... and you take offense and come back swinging, taking shots at me and anyone who got the ironic humor that you clearly missed. Seems I touched a nerve.

Now go ride the fences on your massive ranch and make sure your neighbor's cows are safe and sound. (am I doing that right?)

what does production have to do with coming in all sunshine & rainbows & leaving much less so?

That twaddler....

Let me show you whats greatful

Called someone out and then you stuck your nose in it. Don't like to be called out, stop trying to be a hero. What a hypocrite....calling me out, for calling someone out!! Good to start a Friday with a nice laugh, thanks.
And calling myself out. Literally the opposite of being a hypocrite. Apparently that part went right over your head in your rush to be offended and come back fighting the good fight. You hero, you.

What IS hypocritical is you whining about anyone "sticking their nose in" when you do just that, calling people out in practically every post you make, in true wannabe hero fashion.

We agree on one thing. Definitely good for a laugh.

p.s. I don't mind be called out. I welcome it. Either one of two things will happen. Both of them positive. I will either learn something and be better informed, or I will get a chance to embarrass some loudmouth egomaniac whose only interest is his self-interest. I prefer the former as it makes me better, the latter is fun but also just a self indulgence with no real redeeming value.

It is a good laugh. I normally do it just to mess around, but I won't lie. The constant hate and negativity is tiresome, to me. I dealt with idiot fans, for many years. I once had a team that was ranked 7th in the state of Texas. Some fans were upset that we we winning so bad, that the games were boring. Truthfully, you don't whine about the team, you criticize like a good fan does. Doesn't all this crap, by the same people get old, or is it just me that gets on your nerves?

The thing is, when "the same people" (i.e. the haters) do their thing and then another set of the "same people" (i.e you and a few others) do their thing and yet another set of the "same people" (i.e. me) does their thing it is nothing more than a merry go round of the same people doing their thing over and over and over. Every group just feeds the other group and the beat goes on and on.

If you think about it, only one group of those three is actually on point as to the purpose of this forum, to talk Cowboys. That group being the haters. Your criticism of them has nothing to do with the topic of this forum and my criticism of you has nothing to do with the topic of the forum. No matter what you and I think of their thoughts the bottom line is you and I are the ones operating outside the lines, not them.

Nothing here gets old to me, at least to the point of bothering me. It's my choice to let the crap that someone I have no control over says in a forum that I have no control over, bother me. It seems foolish to me to let that get to me. I do have a self centered habit of calling out those that do try and control the "negativity" with their own brand of negativity. It comes across as bullying and hypocritical and if there is anything that does get to me it's bullies and hypocrites. Now that is not directed squarely at you. I'm not naming names but I'm sure anyone still reading this knows the names.

Neither you nor I nor anyone else is going to change anyone's behavior here (except for the mods lol). Constantly bickering over it only invites more of it and makes it stronger. Perfect example in this thread when some knucklehead literally initiated a response by someone he didn't want to see a response from. Literally called the "hater" out to post in a thread he wasn't posting in. That's the point. At some point we have to ask ourselves, are our expressions of righteous indignation having a positive or negative affect on what we would like to see happen? An even better question would be for us to be truly honest with ourselves and ask ourselves what our true motivations are when we start cackling about others' behavior.

Let's be real. Nobody here is changing anybody here so maybe the answer is for both of us (and all the other whiners) to stop trying. The example has already been set for us by the majority of members who just ignore this crap and keep it football, so we know it can be done. I'll add them in as the fourth group. Let's call them the smart ones.

And finally, and for the record. I would LOVE to sit around the firepit and shoot the bull with anyone here. You and some others that I occasionally go back and forth with would be at the top of the list. I bet we'd have a blast. I vote we do it at Rocky's place in Hawaii.

Lol! Shooting the sheet with some of you guys would be cool! The only thing I disagree with, is what purpose does it serve to call a trade stupid or a player an idiot, before they even yake one snap. Many said the same about Haley and that turned out to be one of the best trades we ever made. Say your piece and then let the player play. Same with the draft....that's what I don't care for. Salud! We have to invite Mountaineer and Coogs, someone's got to fetch the drinks!

If Coog is coming don't invite me! Hell no.

Your Haley example goes to my main theory on fan hate or frustration now. Great one btw! I believe a VAST majority of negativity is fans not wanting to give Jerry the satisfaction of winning one after this many years. I truly do. I believe in the early days people were fine with Haley and all because they knew he was an asset and everything was new so winning SBs mattered and we weren’t too far from the 70s/80s success. I mean even after the 90s SBs there was still positivity despite Campo or Gailey or QB wise or WR trades because we felt we were within our destiny and Jerry was all in. So 30 yrs later you have people jaded, lied to, etc etc and the luster is gone. Now the same type moves are looked down on because we were in the desert. No belief. Garrett decade took their last sip of pride. Jerry pressers weakened the love. But deep down Jerry cut so deep that him trying again is hard to accept. Dramatic but realistic to me! Just my thoughts. Nice! I like it! I used to have my favorite one that the team wore with the raised “D” on it but it gained too many sweat stains. Need a new one. I like the caps more than jerseys
