They pulled me back in

I’m with you in general. But I’m not fully back in just yet. I don’t think they’ve done enough. They’ve done well but not enough.
I may be wrong, but I believe what he's saying is that the team has given him some hope, not necessarily that he thinks they're going to be good.

We need more fans to stay the same way no matter what happenes, but be able to point out the BS that this team gets in, this off season I agree was a good one, keep it up, let's go!

That's so perfect. Thanks for the laugh.

I’m back in too. Not from a I’m expecting a championship in but from a we can be a playoff team again in. I’ve been begging for a calculated risk all offseason and last offseason. Pickens is exactly that.

My only complaint now is that it seems ridiculous to not pursue a strong interior defender earlier in FA. Feels like that may come back to bite us in the playoffs.

By the end of last year’s disappointing season, I was very much checked out and indifferent.

And when the Schotty hire was initially announced, even more so.

But I must admit that as the off-season has gone by, my interest has been rekindled.

I loved the assistant coaching hires.

I loved what they did with trades and lower level free agency.

I loved the draft.

I love the Pickens trade.

I think they’ve had a fantastic offseason and I’m eagerly looking forward to training camp and the upcoming season.
Glad to hear that.

For the sake of argument, every team in the NFL has " upgraded" their rosters in the draft, especially the ones with higher draft slots.

So now it comes down to Free Agency. The Cowboys are 29th in FA spending out of the 32 teams.....is that gaining ground on the rest of the NFL?

We have an inexperienced HC.....is he going to outcoach the majority of tenured Head Coaches?

I like the Pickens aquisition but while it will help the offense I dont see it as a needle mover for the teams success in the playoffs.....if we're fortunate enough to make it.

But again, I'm glad to hear when any Boys fan is enthusiastic......some of us just need a bit more concrete

I agree Stash!! They pulled me back in I just wish we had not done the Mingo trade and I also think they should have gotten more creative at RB.
I would have made a move for Tyler Warren, Elijah Mitchell or Moestert. These three would’ve cost the same but all three have way more pop.

Same here. I could not generate interest in this team last year after the Green Bay playoff meltdown and the "do nothing and expect things to get better" offseason.

Everything about 2025 feels different. The (mostly) all new coaching staff. 14 total free agent and trade acquisitions. A great draft. And I was genuinely excited about the Pickens trade. Probably the first time I was hyped about someone the Cowboys got from another team in at least a decade.

Not saying everything is all better now. But at least they DID SOMETHING.

Don’t fall for it stash. This team is still going to get killed on the ground. And doesn’t have the horses to run the ball the way Schotty wants too. I could be wrong, but I’m very much in the prove it phase of my fandom now.

It's a true testament to how good the Cowboys are at PR. Above all else this franchise does the best job in PR, simply incredible.
Well, I think we all want to believe, so the PR job isn't too hard. We want our team to win. We want this to be the year. We want to feel that this is the move or moves that put us over the top.

Some of us just temper that desire with the knowledge that we've been here before. We've had our hopes raised before only to watch them get dashed in the playoffs. We've been 12-5 and even 13-3 only to see it all fall apart in the postseason. We've even had our front office publicly lauded before only for it to not be enough.

This is why so many of us are skeptical and have become believe it when we see it fans. The front office has done nothing to garner our trust to the point that we believe that they know how to do what it takes to put us over the top. But I, and many other fans, would love to believe it's true, and the Joneses know that so they generally don't have to sell it too hard.
