You know what I love about the George Pickens trade? The actual risk involved with having a guy who you know is a player versus projecting whether or not your first round pick at WR is going to bust or not.

And we got him for a 3rd with the option to franchise tag him, which I suspect is their plan.

If we're going to be any good the next couple of years, it's crucial to have Pickens for as long as possible. Jerry will get it done, one way or another. He's been developing as a GM the past 6-7 years, which have at least been a little better.

Pickens helps get us over the hump, really moves the needle even more so than Tet would have. So, Jerry (and McClay) are looking pretty genius right now.

I didn’t realize Pickens ran a 4.43 and 4.40 forty at the combine until I saw the combine highlights. I also didn’t realize how bad of quarterbacks Russ and Fields were for the Steelers until I saw the highlight tape for Pickens. I have never seen so many under throws or just plain bad throws in my life. The NFC pass rushers are going to eat Russ alive.

That's part of what I'm saying too about Pickens. He definitely has a high ceiling, higher with Dak presumeably.

The guy can play though. Seriously acrobatic.

I want to see him improve on TDs too, though.

So, I like this move better than TO. I would like this to be our core receiving duo.for at least next 5 years. That alone would increase our chances.

I like the fact that in 27 the Cowboys get a pick back from the Steelers after trading 2 picks to to them . Glad they negotiated that even though it’s a late pick you never know who you might get that’s available . I hope they can get him to sign on the dotted line and extend .

It also takes wideouts 3 years to mature. Pickens is fully developed

This is the kind of player that Jerry will find a way to make the numbers work.

There is no question he has the talent thats worth the risk. He is a dog that will go get it, CD is also.

Feeding them both, especially in a salary year for Pickens could be a problem. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing it.

Honestly from a pure talent standpoint, athletic ability, flexibility, speed, strength, hands he might be in a league of his own. To me he's A faster more athletic Dez, which is ridiculous. The only challenges will be with the other antics. Will he be in meetings, will he cost you games with a dumb penalty? Will he affect young players with these things? I believe the team has the leaders and is veteran enough to handle it. We'll see. Again, pure ability is off the charts. If he was wr1 and you wanted him to set the example for the receiving room, that would be a bad idea, but CD already has that job.

I was going to post this last week..........he has some serious highlights. Interestingly, his body flexibility and catch radius are similar to Lamb IMO

This is why I have said he's a WR-1 based on talent ( not elite but def a mid-tier #1 ).

This one is sick.........
Hell, his catch radius is off the chart..........

A true "Highlight" film.

Hard to pick a fav, but it's prob when the ball bounced off the Jets defender. This guy's got unbelievable concentration.

I bet there are a lot of upset Pitt's fans.
