Wow I guess it's official. Hopefully they don't start that Stanford QB he sliced us like cheese last year.

Not a fan of this for us or the league... I thought it would have been the 'skins vs egals opening game, but we are always going to be a national draw, so why would the league waste us for this game which is going to be a draw anyway.

Washington at Eagles makes a lot more sense for game 1 interest based on last year and how it ended.

Not a fan of it at all. Oh, well. The League is just exploiting the fact that Dallas gets tons of eyes on them wanting them to lose, PLUS they have a huge fan base that will tune in to see them win.

This is a surprise for sure. I expected the Eagles, as SB champs, to start the season, but against the Cowboys? That's a surprise.

The Cowboys are at a disadvantage for sure. The Cowboys have new coaches on offense and defense and since they don't play their starters in pre-season, it is unlikely they will have their ducks together for opening day.

But my expectation is that the Eagles will win the division again and Dallas will finish 3rd or 4th so it doesn't really matter when they play the Eagles.

This just shows what the league thinks of Dallas.

When they think we're good, they save these matchups for the end of the year.

This just means they think we'll be out of playoff contention by November, so they want to cash in on the Philly Dallas rivalry early before the late season nose dive hits us and diminishes the matchup.

Frankly, it's kind of smart. Insulting, and a bit depressing, but smart (by the nfl)

Wonder if they'll do Chiefs-Raiders, Bears-Packers, Browns-Ravens early as well???
