What a weird/odd response from him.........You are nego to make your best defensive player one of the highest-paid player in the paid players and you "think" he wants to be a Cowboy?

But obviously our goal is to, and we have visited at times with Micah, and our goal is to get him here. And I think Micah wants to be a Cowboy, and we want him to be a Cowboy long term.”

Micah no longer mattered after the 44th pick in the draft.

Trade him for a 4th. Then package your two 4ths for a 3rd and things can be normal again.

jerry says he wants to get things right, even if they pay a little more
I don’t understand Jerry when he said that. How do you get a contract wrong unless you overpay? Which is what he does because he waits. That makes no sense. That makes about as much sense as taking a shower to avoid getting wet.

Sounds more and more like his father every day. God help us…

I have come to the gradual conclusion that Stephen Jones makes even less sense speaking publicly than Jerry does.

Sure, SJ has better syntax but his public comments are totally worthless. JJ says “uh” every other word but when Stephen talks he is just saying talking points that could be used for any player, any situation, any year.

“We like our guys”, “Certainly we will take a look at that”, “At the end of the day, we want to get better as a team”, yada, yada. He is the walking definition of an empty suit. He will be 100 times worse than Jerry.
