Some fans thought we were good with Jerry. And some fans thought we would be worse off with Stephen.
Some fans thought we were good with Jerry. And some fans thought we would be worse off with Stephen.
Interesting couple of Tweets from Nick Harris. Just 6 days ago he asked how would we grade the Cowboys offseason after the Pickens trade:
Most Cowboys responses were positive. But then Nick quote-Tweeted this nugget:
It got me to thinking, we haven't seen the Cowboys aggressive in the offseason in a while. We all laughed at the "Cap Boy" jokes at Stephen's expense. But, if the moves made during the draft, signing of free agents to build depth and stimulate competition, and the trades that were made are any indication of how the Cowboys will be run here on out, are the Cowboys in good hands with...Stephen Jones?
What say you Zoners?![]()
Need a meme cartoon.I do. He will be around a lot longer to screw things up
But they will take the Cowboys GM position from Jethro's cold dead hand
Who?Some fans thought we were good with Jerry.
A group decision.Who do we blame the nepo baby Schottenheimer hiring on?
Sometimes he even has to pick up a phone and throw away a fourth round pick just to remind everyone who the boss is.Oh gosh, a new batch of 20 year olds who have been following the team for 5 minutes think they know something.
I wish I could ask fat Nick (the dweeb that had the nerve to ask Jerry during a press conference about the fans "impatience") how exactly the moves show Stephen is more involved. His BS theory would quickly fall apart.
This is a such a tired subject. Stephen is nothing more than Jerry's secretary and that is proven every time there is a war room video. He makes no decisions. He decides nothing. He works the phone and reports to his father. The real decision maker.
You are so wrong. Stephen Jones is a member of The Illuminati. Everyone knowsThis is a such a tired subject. Stephen is nothing more than Jerry's secretary and that is proven every time there is a war room video. He makes no decisions. He decides nothing. He works the phone and reports to his father. The real decision maker.
I think it’s worse and really what will be the difference? Both football dummies. Both blinded by arrogance. Both narcissists. Both drunk. One is senile. The other is just annoying. Nepo Boy has zero charm. The old paternity dodger had charm back in the day.No other team would hire Cap Boy for any position in their organization. Him taking over isn’t a great thing in my mind.
Sounds like a “no”.So that would be a no then?
Again, there's no reason to believe Stephen will suddenly be struck with humbling common sense and realize he's not fit to be the GM. That he needs to bring in someone who is. Stephen also isn't fit to be the Director of Player Personnel but he has had no issue holding that position over the years.Sometimes he even has to pick up a phone and throw away a fourth round pick just to remind everyone who the boss is.
This is essentially the last glimmer of hope I cling to…Stephen wants to run it a certain way (like maybe hire qualified people and get out of the spotlight) but Jerry refuses.
The common theme is Stevie will be worse, but there’s at least the small possibility he realizes he can still get his public credit as just an owner. See: Kraft, Robert.
I have some questions for you. If you’re 100% out on the coach before he even has a chance, 100% out on the draft, 100% out on the QB, 100% out on a defense lead by MP, Diggs, and Bland, and 100000% out on the organization because the guys who own the business want you to run it the way they want to run it, why do you call yourself a Cowboy? Do you even want them to succeed? You seem to be the opps more than fans of other teams. I don’t get it.Who do we blame the nepo baby Schottenheimer hiring on?
I havent heard Milton believes he should be the starter? Perhaps in Boston he did, but not here. At least not yet. What I say is anything I can latch onto for hope moving forward I’m going with. Even a small glimmer of hope is still hope.
Another thing I want to say is I vaguely remember during last offseason Mike Fisher, aka Uncle Fish your trusty and trusted reporter, reported there was “difference of opinions “ with Dak’s value in the FO. This year they traded for Milton who is raw with a lot of potential. And more importantly Milton carries himself and believes he should be the starter. Was that a Stephen move? Interesting. It can be said they were more aggressive this offseason, so if that’s Stephen then that’s a glimmer of hope. I would love to develop a truth serum and dose everyone at the Star and see what they really feel about Dak.
well you got the "it" right. But if something's changing with CaPboy well let me see it because I'm seeing a trade but we've made trades before but how about all these other contracts we'll see if George Pickens has a great season and then doesn't get signed here... I mean that's why it's always comical you won't give Jerry any credit for anything anything bad happens it's jerry anything good happens you'll find anybody else to give flowers to some of y'all in the media and the fan base just won't let it go he should get credit for everything good bad or indifferent because that's what's been going on here for years you don't get the backtrack and try to say all that must have been will mcclay or that was one of our coordinators with that pig somebody else must be responsible for George Pickens no Jerry's been involved it will always be involved...
Very true. Milton has been pretty quiet since he got here.I havent heard Milton believes he should be the starter? Perhaps in Boston he did, but not here. At least not yet.
This offseason has been better than last years.Him taking over isn’t a great thing in my mind.
