Bengals rookie DE Shemar Stewart is holding out from practice

the rookie contract scale is set in stone; there is no reason why a team cannot sigh all its players a week or so after the draft
so it does appear to be on the team not him

Stewart opposite Hendricks could be a tough front to block, Bengals ownership should get this done it's a slotted contract anyway. On Stewart, I believe he's following his agents advice, but it's getting him off to the wrong start with his coaches and organization, but it should be fine. I'm glad Dallas didn't draft him because he wasn't the right player, Eze is a better player imho.

What exactly are they doing now that could result in a catastrophic injury?

it can happen anytime doing anything; all you have to do is land wrong or do something like that. Even in shells and sneakers things can happen.

I guess. I've played sports for many years. Almost 24/7. I was reckless too. Never had a serious injury. Never came close. From my perspective it is hard to imagine it happening at any time.

I believe there are some offsets that can be negotiated. I think thats why Joey Bosa held out in 2016

there are a few things; but really do not matter much or more players would hold out. Looking closer at this, either he or his agent or both are probably the reasons. Not the team

I usually take the side that is better for the game. Which usually ends up being the owners. But not in this case. Why should he be doing any work without a contract?

I change my opinion. Cincy low balled him offering less money than last years #17 pick Dallas Turner ......in spite of the cap going up.

interesting. Bungles are always cheap but this is really out there.
Wonder if the Union will show some stones and do something?

I don't know what going on in Cincy. Between Hendrickson showing up to voluntary camp in golf wear to complain about his contract negotiations and low balling the rookie who's supposed to give them some leverage........ none of it makes sense.

its the Bungles
the only reason they are not the worst franchise in the NFL is because of the Jets and Browns

doesn't help that they're jerking around Hendrickson

In his four years in Cincy he's had 14.0, 8.0, 17.5 and 17.5 sacks

If you aren't convinced that he's that guy, let him sign elsewhere

Bengals have been historically cheap under Brown. Dude must not want to sign anymore checks after caving to Higgins and Chase this offseason.
