So far I like what shotty has said and done, he seems different.
But the real story will be how he does this first season. and what does the team look like?\

In the past the cowboys often looked sloppy, unprepared, not motivated, all about individual glory,
too many penalties, not tough, etc etc.
I want to see if he can change some of that.

I don't like a coach that is all buddy buddy so they like me. That was a Garrett style and it looks like it's going to be the same old thing.

I wonder if Coach Landry or Coach Jimmy would approve of that?

After one game....just one......love can turn into hate and visa versa.

No matter how we feel about the HC today, the Cowboys record and playoff results will determine how we feel about him. If the Cowboys beat the Eagles then he is a genius. If the Cowboys lose game #2 to a team with a losing record in 2024, then he is instantly demoted to bum.

It's not him it's us. Our opinion of the coaching can change from quarter to quarter.

I am rooting for him. I wish him all the success.

Does everyone remember that Archie Manning played 11 years for the Saints and never went to a single playoff game? Now he has two sons that are SB MVPs.

It would be great for Marty Shottenheimer if his son Brian coached a team to a championship. He was the only HC in NFL history to win 200 or more games but never win a championship.

only with the knee jerkers, some of have a bar already set. if its not met, no use for him, if its met, than hes good. just most posters cant accept the reality of it. most of us can.

im hoping Jerry Jones turned the corner, but i doubt and this board does what this board does each season. This is the season of many posters, "they pulled me back" "im sold on (insert Coach)
