Yeah, you always disagree w/ the professional assessments. That's why you get it wrong so often.I disagree on the lacks acceleration and gear shifts.
And I'm pretty sure I covered that in my first sentence did you see it I mean I pretty much wrote you you might be being a bit sarcastic...
Red zone Rbs have to be quick to the hole. Mafah isn't.My concern is if he is suppose to be this big bulldozer back for red zone opportunities, I didn’t see it in this video
...Henry isn't either. Those big bodies need momentum to carry on.Red zone Rbs have to be quick to the hole. Mafah isn't.
Henry isn't a great red zone RB. He is the best openfield runner I've ever seen, and scores a ton from further out....Henry isn't either. Those big bodies need momentum to carry on.
"Good" being the question at this point.Phil Mafah has neither Derrick Henry's size, speed or cutting ability. He is, however, a highly powerful RB who is capable of breaking tackles. He's not going to make quick cuts but rather, will be more of a runner who rounds off his adjustments, rather than making 90-degree cuts with relative ease.
Derrick Henry is a generational acquisition while Phil Mafah is simply a good RB who appears to be worthy of starting for the Cowboys, at some point fairly soon, imho. That's not set in stone, however. We'll see. Those who anticipate him being similar to D. Henry will likely be disappointed.
...I didnt realize how big he is, until seeing some college clips. Reminds me of King Henry in younger suit.
That's surely true enough -- with "good" being a term in the eye of the beholder."Good" being the question at this point.

And slower. For a big man Henry can runHe’s 2 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Henry.![]()
...Ravens just extended him 2yr $30 mill. 31 yrs old too.And slower. For a big man Henry can run
Yep!And slower. For a big man Henry can run
No. It’s the off season. If fans can’t say ridiculous things now when can they? He’s like Derrick Henry. Only better. I actually get a Jim Brown “vibe” from him.Yeah…don’t see how you can even make such a grandiose statement looking at a cut-up reel of highlights on a late round draft choice; and compare him to one of the premiere RBs in the NFL year in and year out.
I love the Cowboys, but do we always have to compare Dallas draft picks and UDFAs to these great NFL players without seeing them play a single down in the NFL? Let’s watch these Dallas players play against others just as athletically gifted over some period of time before making such proclamations.
No, it's in whether he's good enough to play in the NFL. We don't know at this point. That's surely true enough -- with "good" being a term in the eye of the beholder.
