GMs are always under pressure *except one*

pressure affects people in two different ways

some hunker down and get cautious others throw the dice

There are two ways to win SBs
one with a top QB like the HOF Brady, Montana, Mahoomes and so on
the other is with the Flacco;s and Hurts and so on

what I do notice is that teams that have the HOF QBs win more of them and are more often in close competition for them

the cautious GMs try it the way of a really good bus driver and the GMs willing to take chances go for the TOP QBs
perfect example is Reid and the Chiefs; they had a very good QB and swung for the fences with Mahoomes.
Baltimore sticks with a player that might make the HOF but only gets close to a SB ring

SF IMO made a huge error. That team was in the super hunt bc they never paid a QB and put their resources into the defense. The D is what carried them. Now, they are stuck with an average NFL QB taking a huge chunk of cap which will prevent them from loading up on defense. How do they win now? It's like they didn't recognize that injury on defense is what set them back last year. Purdy has never been able to carry that team and I doubt that changes.

I tend to agree. Should have paid him say $35 mil a year. with the cap going up like it is, that would not have been a big hit.

Defense means something. Not gonna argue it.

But there is so much parity in the League....most of these games are coming down to the 2 minute mark and it where QBs take over.

The QB position is important all game, but is highlighted in the last few minutes of close games.

My opinion is that this board underestimates a stable bus driver and how they can eek out wins for clubs, while GMs see this.

Last 6 minutes of close games is almost always QB play that determines things

BS. You act like defense is not as important and anyone that ever passed Football 101 knows otherwise.

The QB can only take advantage of the defenses weakness if he is allowed to.

Get that rush and no QB not Brady not Mahomes no one can get it done. Or even a great play by a DB.

Anyone that thinks the QB is everything should have gotten smacked in the head with a cold dead fish in the last SB
