So in another words, I pay you, you owe, now go out there and be something I NEED you to be!Honestly, I think this quietly started a couple of years ago, but he's now a little more vocal. BTW.....Stephen Jones has said many times that he expects strong leadership and team presence ( face of the team ) from his 2nd contract players. It's no coincidence Parsons is now calling this his team or saying now is his time ( it's Stephen Jones' language )
It's not the player(s) ............. prerequisite for getting a 2nd contract from Stephen Jones. Of course, saying you are a leader and actually being one are two different things but it's def something he requires after getting paid.Every time a player gets paid the “he’s now a leader” narrative begins right with it.
He wasn’t a leader his first 4 years? What did CeeDee learn in year 5 that all of a sudden made him a leader in year 6?
You either have a leader mentality from day 1 or never.
Stop the nonsense.
in that case ok, but everyone expects since you say leader it automatically means on the field getting in people's faces and being vocalIt's not the player(s) ............. prerequisite for getting a 2nd contract from Stephen Jones. Of course, saying you are a leader and actually being one are two different things but it's def something he requires after getting paid.
From my understanding, the leadership can be more community involvement ........an issue they had with Amari Cooper.
I think that's part of it but also they are generally the players expected to be the voice of the team/locker room.So in another words, I pay you, you owe, now go out there and be something I NEED you to be!
Where did I say that?everyone expects since you say leader it automatically means on the field getting in people's faces and being vocal
I wasn't coming at you sheesh, was speaking in general geez! I like the point you made about the community aspectWhere did I say that?
No it doesn't......many players lead in different ways. You should know that......some by example, some vocal, some emotional.
If you don’t have a leader mentality when you’re dead broke then you don’t develop one when you get paid. It's not the player(s) ............. prerequisite for getting a 2nd contract from Stephen Jones. Of course, saying you are a leader and actually being one are two different things but it's def something he requires after getting paid.

Every post is negative. You never just take the time to be like let me sit this one out. Trolls are on the loose.Every time a player gets paid the “he’s now a leader” narrative begins right with it.

Jesus….he wasn’t talking literally about the community lol….he’s talking about leading as a community….If you don’t have a leader mentality when you’re dead broke then you don’t develop one when you get paid.
I honestly don’t care how involved a player is in a community. I only care about what they do on the field.
Some players are late bloomers. Takes them a few years to learn from their mistakes, mature and become leaders. Not buying it. If he was a leader we would already know.
Says you?You wouldn't understand how to recognize or become a leader because you would have to grow up first and acknowledge your wrongs. Two things you clearly have failed to do to this day.
