Your Breakout Player not Named Mazi Smith or Tyler Guyton

I don't think rookies get in this conversation because they're rookies I think it's people who have had down years and that are on the bubble that you're hoping that they bounce back that would be having a breakout...
Ford is not a rook, and why I nominated him so agree with you about rook status though in this consideration.

Marist Liufau. I think he makes a good sized step up in year 2.

Jonathan Mingo. With a full off-season in DAL and with a legit QB throwing to him, I think he starts to show his potential.

Josh Butler. Started to show flashes last year. Like other guys, a full off-season helps him and he becomes a solid backup CB.

Whether he sucks or isn't being given an opportunity, he wasn't worth a second round pick. Bad pick.
That's totally inaccurate. He is not only a contributor by starting in the offense but he is on special teams too. Which is exactly what he was drafted for.

Let's also remember he was barely a 2nd rounder. Just 6 picks later and he would have been a 3rd. So yes still a 2nd but a very late one.

This roster is much more well-rounded now, much deeper with returning high ceiling players.
The LB room should be especially exciting to watch.
Looking forward to seeing the returning injured like Clark and O.

Like the title says::If you say Guyton or Smith you're a smelly, illiterate moron.

Who is 1) the player you want to breakout?

2) Who do you think actually breaks out as a Cowboy either from being a backup to FA, UDFA or someone who isn't an obvious shoo in

I want Schoonmaker to breakout big time. I think this offensive personnel suits his style well and he also suits his teammates' potential well. If Schoonmaker played to his absolute ceiling, this offense could be deadly

I think Jayden Blue breaks out as a rookie 5th round pick. It's just all there. You don't have the size. But the speed, balance, and shiftiness is there. Guy is nimble like Achane.

I think Juanyeh Thomas breaks out. In some ways he reminds me of Bill Bates, hangs around and hustles himself into a starting job. Training at the NFL level could pay off for a guy who was already pretty athletically gifted. Just needed to train and hone in his instincts to the next level. I'm glad Eberflus seems to be giving him a shot.
Bill Bates started for exactly one year, and he wasn't very good.
