Oh, hell! Ok, the Cowboys are winners and have always been winners. Best team the NFL has ever seen. Multiple SB's coming up, starting with this year.

Look up what a controlled burn is guys. This is exactly the definition of what we underwent last season. It was discouraging but necessary.

Yes, a soft rebuild started. A little more aggressive this year. Next year, most likely depends on this year of course.
Jerry said himself, they are looking at what they do now, for a few years down the road.

There is one group that sees the FA acquisitions and some of the draft class as a meh group of talent.

There is another group that swears this new team change will make all those FAs better than they've ever been and all the draft picks are hits regardless of round or scouting report.

Depending on which group you are in largely shapes your opinions to this offseason so far.

They were above .500 exactly twice before Dak went down. Once at 1-0 and again at 3-2. They were down to the Falcons when Dak went off late in the 3rd qtr. By any reasonable standards this team was not a winner last season. It has always been said that the defending champs are the champs until they are knocked out of contention. The same applies to the other end of the spectrum. As of now the Cowboys are a non-playoff team trying to get better. Nothing more, nothing less.

The truth can hurt, but that is the truth.

Some more truth for you.

I've been really happy with most of what has happened after he was hired. So yes, it feels different to me at least. Im excited to see where it goes. I have realistic expectations but hope for more.
