I love what they say about Toia making an impact this season.

3 Dallas Cowboys rookies who could start in Week 1

Story by Mark Heaney, Inside The Star

No matter what you think about the Brian Schottenheimer hiring, free agency, or anything else, the incoming Cowboys rookies should get you fired up.

Dallas walked away with one of the strongest draft classes in the league, largely due to a consistent best-player-available strategy, and it will have a huge impact on the 2025 season. Multiple rookies will be asked to make a day one impact.

In short, the George Pickens addition may not be their most beneficial new toy; it might just be these young guys.

I see the majority, if not all, of the incoming rookies getting on the field throughout the season, but we really need to consider who can become starters by Week 1. This is a roster that lost talent in the offseason, and could use a boost in a few starting roles.

On both sides of the ball, we need to see some of these rookies earn that title in the build-up to the season; let’s talk about the three that have the best chance of doing that.
  • Tyler Booker: Take Over Right Guard
  • Shavon Revel: Filling Big Shoes At Cornerback
  • Jay Toia: Flying Under The Radar

The first three "could" start. Eazy could be real good. Plus Blue has a shot although I think Williams will start.

No matter how many rookies we start, I think Pickens will be our most beneficial new toy.

Booker will most likely be an improvement over Hoffman or Bass. Revel may mean we don't have to start Elam or play Carson, etc., out of desperation. Toia may at least give us a decent run-stopping body. But Pickens is a bona fide star. The only question with him has nothing to do with his playmaking ability.

Of course, since it takes a team to succeed, we need multiple players, including rookies, to step up and play well.

Don't know why fans think this is a good thing for a supposed contender. But if you don't think we are contenders then sure play all the rookies!

Revel to start game 1?

Unlikely

Amazing Revel hurt that knee in October and can already return for TC?
You remember Adrian Peterson I know we all do he had his acl surgery in January and started game one in September... This happens quite often it's the ones that you hear about that they take longer and don't rebound those aren't the norm there are a lot of players that come back in 9 months with no complications...

It's really not that amazing, lots of players can come back to normal activity in six months, in nine months full contact, just because people around here have PTSD and get false information because some of our players didn't rebound from their surgery fast enough, there are so many other actual proof that it's done on a regular basis...

It Doesn't mean they won't work them in slow, as long as he's starting the season healthy, that's all it matters, I don't care about camp and preseason they just need to take care of the players that are injured and don't rush them back but that is not crazy or amazing.

I was 48 years old when I had my ACL completely torn and in six months I was doing normal things in 9 months doing the thing that actually tore my ACL which is doing inverts(flips) on a wakeboard.. mentally it's tougher to get to that point but at nine months at 48 years old with only five rehab sessions, the rest of it I did on my own with I didn't have age on my side I didn't have rehab people with an army to help him recover, these guys have access to the best medical and rehab resources , so no it's not that amazing..

By the way, I'm 55 now ,i've had no setbacks... yes, I wear a donjoy brace just like some athletes wear when I'm wakeboarding and snowboarding ,but I do these activities at a high level...

I know I'm not a nfl player but I can tell you if you look at my age and I was able to be running at 6 months you know normal activities at 9 months I was cleared to do everything, and yes I wore a brace ,and it started out where I was hesitant to do the trick that actually blew my knee out, but I eventually did it and I'm still doing it at 55.....

Actually a lot of teams have rookies starting what's the point I think we did a pretty good job mixing in free agents and making trades for veterans young players we have a good mix it's not like their last year where they are only counting on the draft but the Dallas Cowboys in 1977 and 78 had two rookies starting, they won a Super Bowl both years...

You know what's ironic the Philadelphia Eagles last year in their Super Bowl run had two rookies starting at corner they also had a cheap budget brand linebacker named Zach Baun who did nothing prior to last year starting at linebacker for them...

So let's be careful where we say it's not a good thing because you don't know how they're going to gel.. Back like being a rookie and starting is a new thing we've seen guys like Ezekiel Elliott was the best player in the league really should have been rookie of the year not Prescott but let's just say Prescott as well two rookies starting on offense and it was a defense that held him in the playoffs I mean we're talking about your demeaning rookies as if it's a negative connotation for them to be starting on Super Bowl contenders....

I'm pretty sure we've seen some rookies have Pro Bowl years and all pro years across the NFL so the problem here is you can't only be counting on them and there are plenty of other players that they Added to this team through free agents and trades were not only counting on the rookies but rookies can contribute to Super Bowl contenders it's proof I mean I might go in through the whole entire league but these are just some I decided to go look up..

That mean it seems like the eagle survived and won a Super Bowl I mean corner 2 corners we're rookies and they're linebacker was a budget free agent, sound familiar?.

You add that in the fact that the Cowboys are going to get a lot of players back from injury some key players we lost last year that's like adding to the team at least at the beginning..
