10 guys from 11-20, he’s in there somewhere
honestly, the MVP award is way down my list of what qualifies a QB for an all time mention.If Lamar Jackson- Ravens is a 2 time NFL MVP ... should he be in the mention of all time QBs ?
,..and far up/or down would he rank ..?
is that in order?Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Joe Montana
* Pat Mahomes
Dan Marino
Drew Brees
* Aaron Rodgers
Kurt Warner
Dan Fouts
John Elway
Brett Favre
Roger Staubach
Steve Young
Ben Roethlisberger
Terry Bradshaw
Troy Aikman
Jim Kelly
Warren Moon
Phillip Rivers
Randall Cunningham
* Still active in NFL
Not to mention possibly the world’s biggest Unitas doubteris that in order?
if so then you hae both Elway and Roger way down the list
no way would I think Brees or Fouts is better than either one of them
Unitas as I said brought the deep ball into the game. Huge change. And then Bullett Bob brought the deep speed into the game. Paul Warfield right after him.Not to mention possibly the world’s biggest Unitas doubter
IMO, Fouts was better than Rothy.That’s a tough one. I don’t know if he’s top 20. There’s a lot of guys around there. Was Fouts that much better than Roethlisberger? 2-time MVP Warner? Moon?
Unitas is easily top 5.Not to mention possibly the world’s biggest Unitas doubter
That's why I have levels of QBs w/o putting them in order: 1st level: Montana, Unitas, Brady, Graham, Starr. Next level: Marino, Elway, Steve Young, Staubach, PManning, Tarkenton, Kelly, Jurgenson, Dawson, Brees, Moon, Tittle, Warner. I'm sure there's a couple more in there.Unitas as I said brought the deep ball into the game. Huge change. And then Bullett Bob brought the deep speed into the game. Paul Warfield right after him.
It is hard to rank QBs from different era's
I mean look at Sammy Baugh from the earliest times of the NFL. others could be mentioned as well.
I agree with your top 5. Mahomes is the only one currently playing that has potential to make it there. He would need frankly another ring or two. While playing better than he did this last season.That's why I have levels of QBs w/o putting them in order: 1st level: Montana, Unitas, Brady, Graham, Starr. Disagree w/ the rings, but he is definitely on that trajectory. The top QBs of all time simply transcend the position. They have that something extra. Some sorta weird 6th sense.I agree with your top 5. Mahomes is the only one currently playing that has potential to make it there. He would need frankly another ring or two. this gives you an idea of Roger's athleticism
