Mickey talks about Dak's injury and some observations when he was on crutches. Then to now being on the field for OTA's.
As Dak said, he is not cleared for contact. And does not expect to be for another few months, supposedly in time for TC. Which when he said that, TC is about 2 months away.

He also talks about how important it is to have your starting QB the entire season.
Last year 10 of the 14 teams had their starters for all 17 games. 2 teams held out their QB's the last game of the season, so had them for 16 games.
2 teams lost their QB for 2 games, Hurts with a concussion theist 2 games. Love with a knew injury for 2 games.
No, he was not saying if Dak stayed healthy, they would have made the playoffs.

He is propping up Dak a bit with some stats, and he is right. However, we fans still measure success by playoff wins and getting to the NFCCG for once. That is where he fails at in this article. Of course he will not write that. I post that for the Mickey haters. And I don't blame them.

Oh, yeah. Dak will surely make it through the whole season. But that is contingent on him wearing that red jersey the whole season.

I think he'll bounce back and put up decent stats, especially with the addition of Pickens but the continuing non-contact injuries should be concerning
He just comes off as looking older and more fragile than other QBs his age. The decline in his mobility has really been evident the past few years. Players bodies breakdown at different ages and of course sometimes it 's just bad luck and one or two seasons of injuries doesn't mean it will happen the next season. Maybe if he loses weight? He doesn't exactly seem to be a "workout warrior". We really need his healthy for the next couple of years at least

He actually looks like he is 50 years old. Damn.

Advancing in the playoffs takes a whole team, not just a QB. Everyone should know that by now.

yeah but he'll have a few good passees on some bootlegs to Ferguson this summer in camp, and everyone will think he's back to being a great runner!!!! No one's ever seen anything like it before!

Last year at this time he was wearing a boot only for "precautionary" reasons, and he almost made it five full games.

This year he's coming off surgery for a rare (according to Mickey) and serious injury.

If this isn't a 'hope for the best, plan for the worst' situation than I don't know what is.

Yeah and I remember someone saying he was in that boot he was on vacation or something, but "THEY WEREN'T CONCERNED" about it lol, they said not concerned about everything!!! "Cowboys have no Qb's to play this week, "we're not concerned about that!" lol

"Dak can't run anymore!"

"Dak can't scramble anymore!"

"Dak is no longer mobile!"

Well, let's see some 2024 highlights...

Hmm, I swear, so many were saying Dak can no longer do is suddenly popping up on video from last season alone. Who is telling the truth? Dak's critics or his game tapes?

That is all fine and dandy, but you can't go backwards. Dak has been hurt bad since then. It's not 2024 anymore.

Dak is fine and still able to move well enough in the pocket and scramble for 1st downs when needed. Until proven he can actually no longer do it, his critics need to pipe down with the false accusations.

Ok...I guess we will see, huh?
Correct.

If Dak suddenly loses his ability to scramble or run with the ball to the point it starts hurting the offense, we should all voice our concerns and demand Jerry start looking for his replacement. For the meantime, Dak still looks capable. I saw tape of their recent OTAs, and Dak looked very good on a few plays where he took off scrambling full sprint. Even the DC commentators were surprised considering Dak is coming off such a serious hamstring injury.
