Who gets left out for a new contract?

This is what drives me crazy. Tyler Smith is a top 5 Guard and is 24 years old. We already know we want to keep him. Why wait? It literally makes zero sense.

This kind of approach to running a modern NFL franchise is maddening.

If we git rid of Diggs I can see us keeping Bland. The of course keep Tyler Smith and Parsons. Ferg can go. And Pickens will be priced too much so he might have to walk as well.

Also won't be surprised to see Aubrey extended before the end of the season.

I would be surprised only because even though he is deserving, when was the last time Jerry signed a star early. Aubrey is arguably the best K in the NFL. Waiting costs more but Jerry does things “his way” not the smart way.

TE Ferguson - if he repeats a similar 2024 year that included zero TDs. ..i still tend to think Fergy can bounce back with a returning Dak and a much improved coach scheme. But if not ,i think the club will be seeking a new starting TE in 2026

- i could see it being CB Bland.. (BIG IF) .. Cowboys find a very reliable CB at the outside boundary Long Term ,
as Bland is assuming to want to remain outside where those type CBs tend to get the biggest high paid contracts.

If I'm Bland, i'm marketing myself to the highest bidder in 2026... and NFL teams have seen me set the NFL record for pick six TDs, and make All Pro as an outside starting CB.

Not sure they can. You got Micah, bland, and Pickens. You have options with smith because he’s a first rnd pick. I think they do Micah now, then bland and smith last because they have options. Pickens is a tough one. If he shines they can’t afford him, if he doesn’t woukd you want to keep him anyway. They also have the option to tag him or any of the others

I think they get Diggs healthy and move him after the season. Sign Diggs and eventually bland, obviously Micah. Ferg is a guy I like because he fires up the team but it’s not hard to replace his production. Pickens is a tough one but you could always tag him if he has a great year. Then you could either trade him or let him play a year on the tag

We currently have 27 UFA on our roster, 10 RFA and 6 ERFA for a total of 43 FA's. That seems like an unsure amount.
