Cowboys trade rumor continues to get shot down by reputable NFL insiders

Rude. I’ll do no such thing; it’s an opinion. You’ll have to deal with it.
It's not an opinion the numbers don't work he says untradable as Prescott you have to know what the contract is what the dead cap money is it's not just about money and trade value he's untradable you would have to give so much to get him and then overpay him at 31 years old he's untradable help me understand how your opinion which is very wrong because you're not using the facts and numbers are all right there

this is an opinion it's all mathematics his age is math his contract is math it's right there in front of you did you call me rude and I'm telling you you're so hot base he this is just another terrible rumor that's never going to come to fruition...

he's untradable His contract doesn't make sense for the Dolphins to move him this year, and it makes sense for no other team to pick him up if they have to overpay him by giving double the compensation to make it worth the Dolphins letting him go, at 31 years old, it's all right there it's math it's not an opinion..

its a hard pass

He will play out this year because they can’t trade him and save nothing cutting him. After this season they will cut him unless some one wants to trade for him which is highly unlikely. He’s an older player with a bad contract
Yes and then he'll be a 32 year old corner who's going to want too much money he's going to be sitting out there for a while until somebody tells him he needs to become a safety and then he's going to sit out until the very last hope he has it's what a lot of gang skill players his age do they sit and wait keenan Allen and Amari Cooper are sitting and waiting there's a list I mean Gilmore is out there you might as well go back and get Gilmore for insurance but I don't think people realize that he's untradeable this year they literally would have to pay another team for him to play there why would you do that they're not going to get enough compensation to offset that $49 million and you're right the 25,26 ,and 36 is what he's due the next three years for a 32 year old corner next year....pass

Just a rumor again a big rumor it's not happening you guys need to look at these contracts the man was just signed last year to the Lions he got a big roster bonus if he was on the team three days after the league year started therefore this man has already earned a bonus plus whatever his base salary is supposed to be for this year if they were going to trade him it would have had to been before his bonus was accelerated because you can't get back any of your guaranteed or bonus money you pay a player so I doubt he's on the market....

But hey show me.... A lot of these rumors don't make sense when you could look at the numbers jalen Ramsey's is so far past a rumor that it said that is being talked about his numbers don't fit it doesn't fit the Dolphins and it for sure wouldn't fit any team that would try to get him because they would want too much for him they're not eating all that dead cap money for a corner..
You should look a little deeper. That was before the draft. They save $8M against the cap if they trade him or cut him today (ignoring the post 6/1 impact) and a lot has changed since the beginning of the league year. They drafted Williams and Reader will now be a backup assuming Williams is what they think. I'm not saying they will trade him, but you think it's smart to have a backup NT take up $13M in cap space if you can cut that by $8M and get a pick back?

Still only one ball. If Pickens improves the offense, in addition to Lamb, it pretty much requires the offense to pass more. When does the team rush more?
First off we were 3rd in the NFL in passing attempts last year so we will not likely pass more. We will rush more simply based on team makeup (better OL play), philosophy (Schotty and Adams both preach physicality and have talked about running more) and the fact that we won't likely be on the wrong side of as many blowouts as last season. Defenses worrying about both Lamb and Pickens likely makes them more hesitant to bring their safeties up which will in turn also lead to running more and a better run game when we do run. That's the hope of course.

Forgetting about the cap impact for Miami because they do seem to be shopping Ramsey and seem to every year, so I guess they are willing to take that on. If/when Diggs is healthy and assuming Revel is the player this team thought when they drafted him in the 3rd and considered him in the 2nd, our 3 starting corners would be: Bland, Diggs and Revel. In a cap world you don't bring in a big contract at a position where your depth chart looks like that IMO. Then we have Elam as the likely #4 (perhaps #3 early on due to injury or if Revel needs time to develop) and the kid Butler who I liked in his limited time perhaps back near the end of the year plus a couple of other guys on the roster. Why would we trade for Ramsey? The only way it is even a possibility is if we send Diggs back to them but I just don't see it. If you feel the need to add another CB you are more likely to see Gilmore or Hilton and that's not even a consideration unless Diggs is out for a good chunk of the season IMO

All true. But defending teams with two great wide receivers is not new to NFL defensive coordinators. It also is no guarantee of success. Vikings, Bengals, Seahawks et. al. 32 NFL teams know an improved run game is a good idea. So 32 teams know stopping the opponents’ run game is a good idea.

And I’ll never believe Barkley runs for 2000 yards if his team’s quarterback is not a bonafide threat to run with the ball. Notwithstanding his vaunted offensive line. Pickens is a great piece and he’ll be great, but it will be the efforts of a lot of others being great to have a strong run game. And a mobile quarterback will not be a piece the Cowboys can count on.

Butler is five months along now. 9 months recovery is typical.

Jerry and Stephen already over performed this offseason

It’s like when I as a teacher have my whole class pass state exams with 90s and higher….ive over performed and it’s likely not to repeat itself

We’re not getting Ramsey at all….they’ve already again ..over performed

Commanders had a worse rush defense, but better offence than the Cowboys did in 2024.
I think a lot of people forget this when they hype up the commanders

Dallas run defense under Mike Nolan might’ve been slightly better than what they had last year….Daniels at qb was truly something special that saved them from a 6-11 season

They aren't getting Ramsey, but they aren't done with roster improvements.
