Marist Liufau will shock the NFL This Season, Here's Why

Sometimes I wonder if some posters have a masochistic streak and start threads just to get worked over.
I mean really
the title of this thread just invites ridicule

I want Liafu to become a great LB and he has flashed but that is all
so this threat title makes me roll my eyes
Please explain why an optimistic view on a player invites ridicule?

On a positive note he did improve over the course of last year. He is however a 5th rounder so let’s not get too pumped. He looked a bit frenetic at time to me
last year. Hopefully that improves. I like the player but he is not going to Canton.

Right now, the late-game play against Washington where Parsons stuffed the RB and Liufau failed to take the QB (Mariotta), who kept the ball for a big gain, is still burned into my mind. That was an example of a player not working his assignment. He has to do better than that.

We are truly blessed. Home run after home run. Just a murderers row of players on this roster. This league ain't ready for what's coming.
In fairness, the other 31 fanbases and engaging in the same kind of nonsense in regard to players on their favorite team’s roster. It is the off season. There’s better than 500 sure Hall of Famers in the NFL every June.

..meh, I think some of the guys Eberflus brought over are going to surprise.
He knows what kind of players he can coach in his system, so yeah. I think the guy is pretty smart aside from time management, which may have been to get out of Chicago for some reason beyond my knowledge. Or maybe he did just goof that badly. Either way, his resume as a DC has been good.

Parson's flashed, Overshown flashed, in their rookie years, Liafau was meh. I hope the best for him and that he can take the next step and we see him "flash" like the other two.

Not in this place, we have a bunch of bums, according to most of the zoners

I thought he played reasonably well. Looked a bit over anxious at times but seemed to get a handle on that as he went along. Certainly wasn’t awful.

Wasn’t this guy drafted a little high because Zimmer loved him? A mini-Kendricks? How nice to spend premium picks on players that DCs love when they don’t last as long as a gallon of milk in Dallas. Where are those long-armed Quinn guys? That’s seven years and five DCs Jerry. It must be on them.

Maybe this time around Eberflus actually hangs around for a while and the personnel eventually matches the scheme somehow.
I hear you five-two. And for the record, Matt Eberflus will be our 4th DC since 2020. Mike Nolan (2020), Dan Quinn (21-23), Mike Zimmer (2024) and Eberflus (starting in 2025)

Eberflus will be Micah Parsons’ third DC in his 4 year career.

Defense has been the weakest link on this team for far too long. When you change coordinators like clothing, it’s hard to build continuity and confidence. Yes, I hope Eberflus is successful.

and the homers like certain people here think we have nothing but All Pros
That's what I was responding too....get with the program. Your obsession with me was cute at first, now it's getting creepy. Go stalk someone else's post..
