Micah Parsons may see less hybrid work under Matt Eberflus

Our best Lb is being forced to play DE.

I’m excited to see what Murray can bring, hoping the light goes on for Liafu, and Overshown comes back healthy.

Right now it’s probably our biggest weakness next to DT
Pessimistic somewhat...

For sad humor...must be 3rd World and call out the NG. Naw, this is football.

Well. If they had done more i wouldn’t be as pessimistic, I am more optimistic about LB than I am DT. This team did nothing to help its run defense.

No, they have a fully functional positional group that needs to get well again.

There will be a lot of growth on both levels.

They will be more aggressive and tough as a unit.

Two levels of defensive line exist here and now ... and good.

Discussion is good, when polite. Thanks and looking forward. :starspin: :flagwave:

Im confused.

What Micah does best is go full speed at the QB, abandoning any sort of responsibility defending the run, racking up double digits sacks in Sept, Oct, Nov, then getting tired and disappearing once it gets cold, and then podcasting and gossiping about every experience he has along the way.

He's already being used perfectly for his skillset. So what's all this about?

If they are not using him to rush the passer, they are giving their opponents a break. And it is also true that as a LB he is just okay. Although maybe if he played more LB he would get better there too.

This is easy.

What he does best is rush the passer. That's his super power.

You take his pass rushing skills away from him and he's a below average NFL LB.

I shouldn't have to do your job for you, Eberflus.
He was picked 12th in the draft to do just that. He’s very fast, instinctive and can cover!
Below average?
What makes you think that?

Have you seen how he plays when he isn't rushing the passer?

He can't cover and he is a liability in the run game.

If Micah wasn't an all world pass rusher he would be Taco Charlton.

having seen your posts for years, it is difficult to know if this nonsensical post is the result of you being drunk or sober

:lmao:
I always picture CCBoy as the coach or whatever on Beavis and Butt-Head...kick me in the Jimmy!!

Lol

He's aight tho.

Linebackers are rarely bigger than defensive ends because they tend to try to avoid taking on blockers, generally don't have to worry about getting double teammed, etc. If you believe that weight/size isn't more important at DE, then I can't help you.

I don't think anyone is saying Parsons or Abdul Carter shouldn't play DE. They are top-notch pass rushers, so they should be used that way. The difference between you and I seems to be that I don't believe that either should be used exclusively at DE because offensive coordinators are going to run at them to try to take their legs out from under them.

I love it when other fans resort to the "you just don't understand football" argument. It's such a cheap out in a football discussion. If you believe that weakside linebacker and defensive end have the exact same job description because they both play outside, I'm not sure what to think of your football acumen.
