Call me crazy, but I think the Giants will be better than we expect

How do some of you think the OP is crazy? Be objective if possible for once. They have made big improvements, had a great draft and have a couple of Vet QB's in the room. How on earth could they be as bad? C'mon

Every year I think the Giants improved as a team. Then the season begins and they are just as awful as they were the year before. Last year was a great example. They made some changes on the OL and I thought that would help them yet the OL was still pretty bad.

I think the Giants will be as good as their QB plays. They could be pretty good on defense. The still have Dexter Lawrence and now they have Abdul Carter and Brian Burns. They picked up some decent players in the offseason.

I think Philly will come down a little bot. I am curious to see if Jayden Daniels can repeat his play from last year without getting hurt.

But, I will say the same thing about Dallas as I would the Giants. Dallas will only be as good as Dak plays. If he has a repeat of 2024 the Cowboys will have another losing season.

If not for one reason only, they have QB's that can at least win them some games. The QB's have some guys to throw it to; their defense has some solid pieces. It's easy to say they're going to be the worst team without seeing them play. I won't be surprised if they pull out a few more wins and shock the league.

Think so? Why? They now have a legit NFL QB as well as a youngster waiting in the wings, a stacked DLine, and a young talent infusion. Not to mention a Skatter!!!!

Well, from all indications, they got themselves they’re own Micah(Abdul Carter), to help solidify that defensive front. If Jaxon dart shows out in preseason, there will be a heavy push to start him if Wilson falters. I’m interested to see how Skattebo makes the adjustment to the NFL level. He might be one of the steals of the draft. Lots of reason to be excited as a Giants fan.

I get these are pros, not college kids, but if Skattebo inspires his teammates like he did at Sac State and ASU that alone will make him a steal. No quit in that guy.

Yeah, but that was dependent on Dannyboy. He's gone now, so it's an entirely different situation.

I think some of you may be forgetting that we were 7-10 last year, including 3-5 w/ our starting QB playing. And we're losing some good players, to be seen if we've replaced them adequately.

Giants had three 3 point losses last season, and 8 of their losses were by less than 10. And that w/ terrible QB play.

I'm not proclaiming them as the next coming by any means, but they added a ton of talent that points toward them not being the patsies that they have been. To be seen.

I've been saying something similar to when they got Golladay way back when. I've been wrong every time with flying colors. Only because I am not really important do people forget. You could not be more wrong than I was about the Giants for the past 5-6 years. Everything they do turns to crap. Here's hoping that continues.

Well, define "what we expect" first. It's hard to comment without knowing that.

I think the Giants will be better than last year and win more games than last year, but I think everyone agrees with that. Their win total over/under is around 5.5. Is that the "what we expect" level? If I had to pick now I'd say over that. Or are you thinking they are in the playoff picture or NFCE division winning picture because I don't see either of those happening.
