Just as good a chance it was. Lots of teams’ 4th round picks never make the 53 man roster. If Mingo makes the team it will be because he earned it.

Only if reports suggest he is having a strong camp, otherwise it will appear to be a move to save Jerry's ego as a great football mind

That 4th could have been a running back. Just like the 4th the year before could have been Bucky Irving.

This team doesn’t learn. If it was a 7th I wouldn’t care. A 4th for Mingo is dumb. There is not a person on this planet including Mingo who can convince me otherwise. There’s enough film on him to realize. He just isn’t good.

The 4th could have also been Shedeur, who at that point was worth the shot. I don't think we look at it like that with a trade for the right player.
