Cowboys fans are having a change of heart around head coach Brian Schottenheimer

I love what they are doing.
You love what the lackey media is telling you and what selected video is shared with you. That is all there is to go on. While it’s the same thing playing out with the other 31 NFL franchises it’s still bull****.

If Daboll, Quinn, or Sirianni lose three games before they win three this season fans will be calling for them to be terminated. If “Schotty” loses three before he wins three that same lackey media spewing ignorant nonsense now will go to work and tell Cowboys fans how remarkable he is as he’s just as good as those three.

That’s why the Cowboys remain popular without ever getting out of second gear. Cowboys fans buy all the jerseys, keychains, and bull**** Jerry has to sell.

It is...but some construction companies screw up the foundation.......
Trust me ... I know. A construction company my mom hired to build her a quarters onto our house did a terrible job. But that's because the guy in charge used his carpenter crew to lay blocks.

I'm fine with the job No-Schott has done so far, but we don't really have enough to go on to have any kind of change of heart. That's all I think anyone is commenting on, that it's premature.

Of course, my stance on the coach is that I'm happy with the change from McCarthy because McCarthy had his turn. It doesn't really matter to me if No-Schott was the next choice or Deion or whoever because I think that coach has no shot with this front office just like the six other head coaches we've had since Switzer won with the team that Jimmy built.

Ok that's fair.....I was more so talking about the grading part but yeah as far as having a "change of heart"....I didn't like the hire but he interviews well. He's saying all the right things. Not that it means it was the right decision based on that but he at least knows how to interview.....shockingly...I don't think we've had that since Parcells....Wade, JG and Mike are the worst interviews EVER. I'm still pissed how they went about hiring a coach...shockingly, I love the staff the put together which is why i'm even willing to give him a shot. He at least has the sense to know what type of staff to build. Mike brought in Mike Nolan for some strange reason.

Cowboys fans have really come around on Brian Schottenheimer.

Back in January of this year, when the Dallas Cowboys needed a new head coach after Mike McCarthy’s departure, fans had their own favorites for the job. Suffice it to say, very few fans had Brian Schottenheimer at the top of their list.

When Jerry Jones decided that the Cowboys offensive coordinator was the man for the job, there was a tremendous negative backlash from the fanbase. Many thought the Jones family was just going cheap because Schottenheimer would be a first-time head coach. Others thought Jerry was just hiring a puppet, someone who would carry out his wishes.

In general, it was a time when most thought - what are the Cowboys doing? Fast forward roughly six months, and the feeling is very different.

Overall, I like the staff that has been put together. I don't know how much that was the front office's influence and how much of it is No-Schott. The only one I don't like on the surface of it is the special teams coach. He has worked with No-Schott before, so I think he is responsible for that one, but his only time spent as a special teams coach was a failure, so I don't know if it is just a buddy hire.

As far as players go, again, I don't know his level of involvement. Did he pick the players? Did McClay? Did the Joneses? The one thing I do know is whoever picked them was limited by the Joneses' free agent philosophy, which is you don't spend big on outside free agents. Ultimately, I believe that has been proven to be a failed philosophy and will bite us again. I don't necessarily have a problem with the players we brought in ... I don't blame them and hope for the best with them, and I don't blame the coaches and personnel men, either, because I think they did what they could with the mandate they were under. This problem goes back to 2012. (Before that, the Joneses devalued the draft, but Parcells changed that.)
