Who's the QB with the most help

Otherwise Lamar and his Mom are not going to pry $60+ million per season from the Baltimore Ravens.
You may be right but .......
BTW.....After Lamar, who's next up? I know Hurts is up in 2027. I'm asking coz one of the next three extensions will crack the $60M level.

Yall letting the eagles fan who has hyped up aj as a top tier number 1 wr troll it up lol. Funny thread though

Burrow and his receivers is pretty much all the Bengals have. Burrow put up almost 5000 yards and 43 TDs, leading the league in both categories, and the Bengals ended up 9-8 and missed the playoffs.
Without him being able to perform while running for his life and getting beat to a pulp, they'd have done much worse

2028. But what difference does it make? Stroud can be signed after this season. If the Houston Texans win the Super Bowl, he’ll probably top $60 million. I guess that could happen. That’s what it will take.

Dak’s contract may well be “a bridge too far”. If the Cowboys don’t win more games than they lose again this year what Jerry offered Dak will be “what not to do” with your QB1. The new CBA is drawing closer. The minimum pay is going to be increased dramatically. That’s how the owners and NFLPA will get enough votes for it to be ratified. Not all owners are as stupid as Jerry. They see what’s coming.

Well, we know who has the least help.

As a great surrounding team goes a long way for the TEAM.
The quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys is a gravitational figure. Whoever it may be, as long as there’s some success on the field, it opens up the door for commercials, public speaking events, and other avenues off the field.

When someone like Dak Prescott is the quarterback, he not only has the ability to attract players around him, but coaches enjoy being near him as well. Defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus spoke with Ed Werder and Matt Mosley of The Doomsday Podcast and noted that returning to Dallas was a good fit for several reasons, with Prescott being one of them.

He didn't just get a stumped big toe. Jerry didn't just miss improving the potentials for a valid progress. And the Cowboys now fully can be in the top 5 for total offensive production. And by the way, the defense has real potentials at the three points on the defensive side. Cry baby acts or not.

This is a good way of explaining what I was going to say.
These QBs make the players around them better. And they indirectly inspire a defense by showing the ability perform in big moments.
On the field leadership is always an influence. Pretty basic but still a saving grace on the Dallas team.

Does Rambo2 know you’ve been in his medicine cabinet? No wonder hopeium is so hard to come by in the metroplex. You two have swallowed it all.

As Eberflus mentioned, he was in Dallas when they drafted Prescott as a rookie. He was the team’s linebackers coach then and spent just a few seasons with him before leaving to be the Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator.

The quarterback position is the linchpin of an entire franchise. Having the right player can simplify things overall, including on defense. Just look at the struggles with the New York Giants and Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson and the Colts. When the quarterback is prone to costly turnovers, it keeps the defense on their heels for the entire game.

Eberflus knows that all too well after spending his two and a half seasons with the Bears in Chicago. Justin Fields was far from a perfect quarterback, and Caleb Williams brought a ton of promise as a rookie, but never showed the same confidence that made him the No. 1 overall pick. Not to mention the distractions that could have been happening behind the scenes.

I don't know about the accuracy of this list but in my opinion the QB that needed the most help was Dak Prescott. He can't do anything by himself. His legs have failed him, and he needs a WR with a wide receiving radius. Pickens should be a great help to Dak.

Dallas’s front office, for all its flaws, has created an offensive depth chart that is filled with proven production and potential for more. If healthy, the statistics show a group that will far outpace their 2024 numbers. There is no doubt about it. There are a few key examples of this, so let’s talk about them and what the numbers suggest about the Cowboys offense in 2025.

For teams, summer is a time to shake off the rust and build momentum; for fans, it’s all about the hype. That’s been true for the Dallas Cowboys offense, but in this case, the numbers back up the excitement. Yes, it’s a unit filled with big names and new toys, but the potential of the offense is very real. They are poised for a legitimate explosion this season.

How can I be so confident? It’s simple: the numbers do not lie.

Proven Weaponry: Top Targets Will Produce

CeeDee Lamb has quietly delivered one of the best statistical three-year stretches in NFL history. George Pickens arrives after dominating the AFC as one of the conference’s youngest receivers. When Dak Prescott is under center, Jake Ferguson has played at an All-Pro level.

Trench Work: Major Offensive Line Improvement

Dallas is putting a ton of focus on the trenches recently, and the offensive line is going to showcase that in 2025.

Reliable Running: Backfield Should Get The Job Done

I get we are all a little scared of the running game this season, but I feel better about the room this year than I did at this point in the 2024 offseason.

My point is a QB’s value is how durable he is. That doesn’t get brought up nearly enough. Joe finishing 60% of his seasons healthy is a really big deal
A QB’s durability is on the low end of what a team is looking for. Number one is a QB that can produce and win games. Durability has been an issue for Burrow, but it didn’t keep the Bengals from extending him with a huge contract. The Cowboys re-signed Dak, despite the fact he suffered a serious injury in 2020. Matthew Stafford started his career with a lot of injuries, but that didn’t cause Detroit to try and replace him because he was productive. He only played 13 games his first two seasons. Troy Aikman also had a lot of injuries/concussions.

Burrow is an interesting one. He has some flashy weapons at WR, but thats about it. His defense is one of the worst in the league, as is his OL. RB room is pretty average looking too.
But why does the worst defense led by Joe Burrow have same numbers TDs in the 4th QTRs of Playoff games? :lmao:
