Dak on his legacy - I want to win a championship

Yeah, but it was the regular old Dakspew that I was referring to. Same stuff reiterated. Sorry, just having fun!!!!

Don't mind you having fun. But what old Dak spew were you talking about? Is holding all NFL quarterbacks to the same standards Dak is held to considered Dak spew?

Im just asking.

Some people are VERY clever at putting in just the right word or phrase that changes the whole rhetoric, trying to make the other side look ridiculous. Good job spotting it!

One of the buzz words is "super bowl". We all know how difficult that is. But "leading" us to getting our butts whipped in the first round of playoffs, at home, ain't gonna cut it.

And some people are very clever at accusing one quarterback for the lack of success in the playoffs.... but make excuses for other quarterbacks who lack success in the playoffs by placing the blame on the team and coaching.

Some people are clever at being hypocritical and goalpost moving.

It really baffles me how a 4th round selected quarterback can have higher expectations placed on him than 1st round selected quarterbacks. Its also mind boggling how there's a benchmark set for one quarterback, yet a different set of benchmarks for the other 31 quarterbacks.

The main buzz words are hypocritical, hypocrisy, goalpost moving, double standard, different set of rules.

You wouldn’t be spinning any of that had it happened to Dak…Fact! Funny how some of you continue to make excuses for Romo’s mistakes but go out of your way to blame Dak.
Romo was as big a choker as Dak.

He was a bigger choker than Dak.
Just as. One was prone to throw INTs when pressure increased and the other basically can’t get started anytime the lights are bright. Wildly inaccurate and prone to toss the nice juicy int. Also holds on to the ball way too long and takes the sack instead of just throwing the ball away. More than once this has driven the Cowboys out of FG range. So yea neither of them would be my choice to be QB #1.

Yea, the joke is that there a time people were dumb enough to think that Dak was good enough to elevate people around him
Elevate people around him into what? A SB winning team? You can't be serious, especially when complete teams like the Eagles win the SB.

Even the top qb's throughout history have elite help. Whether its coaching, wr's, defenses or others on the offense.

So acting like its somehow Dak's fault for not being able to elevate random players into a #1 is a weird hill to die on.

Not interested in yet another Dak vs Romo argument. We didn’t win anything with Romo and haven’t won anything with Dak. We’ll just leave it at that.

Sometimes good teams play terribly and lose... thats football.

They invested in Dak by giving him a new contract. So there's no good reason they shouldn't build a team around him, even if its for his successor.

Since you think Dak is a "perennial choker", you should be all for JJ building the team so the next guy can hit the ground running... like Dak did.
I'm all for building the best team around a QB...but I'm also for not WASTING said team on a proven choker.

Dak's play has made him a proven choker...especially his "near-MVP" season. If he's that good why does he collapse early and often in games? And if you blame the team around him for not being better...then why give the guy who needs help more money?

Well in terms of Cole Beasley the thought was he’d step on and we wouldn’t miss Dez because Dak was good enough to live with less.
Why should he have to live with less? The front office was and is fully capable of building a better team around him. The cap isn't an excuse, especially this year.

Dak team won 4 games before he got there. They was *** stop it.
Dak's team was missing their starting QB...and the backup was Kellen Moore. If you think propping Dak up as the reason for the restoration you need to look at 2014 when Romo was healthy. You use the same arguments to ignore 2024 and prop up "near-MVP" Dak.

A disingenuous point says more about the person proffering said point...not the argument itself.

TMC is a Dak fan for one reason.
Unfortunately...I'm starting to think you're right. I'm like Chappelle when Kramer went on that nasty rant...he didn't like what he said, but he's also empathetic as a comedian. Chappelle said, "Welp I guess I'm more comedian than black...". In my case, I'm more of a Cowboys fan than I am black lol. All I care about is the performance of the person...and I give no quarter when they demand top dollar.

Dak is in his contract for the next couple years, so it is what it is.

Build a good team around him. If he chokes the next two years, move on and have a good team ready for the next guy.

Yall act like a good qb is easy to find, ask the Browns.

My issue is that the best teams don't invest 12 years into an average QB who can't get 'er done. I understand the 2nd contract...I really do. But THIS? This is investing in a 29 year old ballerina or a 42 year old amateur golfer...IT'S OVER.
