No…I’d think it’s quite the longshot for both Jerry to decide to trade him AND Prescott agreeing to it.

I can’t even figure a scenario under which that happens. Part of it would have to be Dak missing significant time this year and Milton delivering, but even in that case, isn’t that an excuse for Dak not getting to a CG, or another team not wanting to take on that contract given what at that point would have to be considered a serious injury risk?

Jerry isn’t cutting Dak and paying him 45 million to play elsewhere (there’s absolutely no way the offset language covers all of that salary, if any), and also not have a replacement.

I used to say that Garrett would never get another HC job after leaving Dallas and so far that holds true. Dak could end up being a backup for another team but his days of starting ends the moment he leaves Dallas.

I actually think Dak could have a very good season. But I also thing he gets another injury.

He could have a good season. But last season before the injury, he really didn't look like he was off to having one in 2024. Why would he pick up where he left off in 2023 versus where he was in 2024 before the injury?
