The Cowboys running back room ranked 32nd among all NFL teams, per PFF

If Schottenheimer is anything like his Daddy, he WILL have a strong running game and balance on offense. And maybe better luck in the playoffs.

Random thought.... how does Lamar have only 1 more win than Dak in the playoffs despite always having a Top 3 running game (even besides himself), a defense that Dak would take on any given day, a great organization, and a pretty good coach? (better than McCarthy, anyways)

Dak has no running game, defense when it matters, and his organization is :thumbdown:
 
Cowboys have a $60 Million QB they're throwing the ball, and the FO made sure Schotty didn't even have a quality RB to attempt to run the ball more than pass.

To comment on how well a coach is doing before the pads are even on in camp is also disingenuous. However there’s a whole thread about it.

Talking about him changing the culture without playing a game because he added a ping pong table to the locker room falls under that category as well.

However. This ranking is actually based on factual evidence of where these guys were last season. Not Jayden blue of course but sanders and williams. So it has more stock than puff pieces written by the Dallas media about Schottenheimer.

It's really curious how the Dak haters never talk about the defense or organization. Are they under the impression the Cowboys defense is good in the playoffs and it's a good organization?

Just take a look at Baltimore and you'll see how a proper organization is ran and even there they only have one more playoff win than we do during the overlapping Dak/Lamar period.

Which is laughable because this offseason as much as people are trying to make it out to seem like it was some kind of home run due to some decent draft picks a bunch of JAGs in FA and one big trade started off with the worst head coaching search in recent memory.

They won't answer. If they did, they would expose their agenda simply because they hate Dak.

All these debates come back to the same deal….they aren’t any good at building a winning team and have no real plan. Incapable.

That said, I’d give the RBs a better shot at being a decent unit than the LBs….considering who is playing in front of each unit up front.

It’s obvious this team is going to lean on Prescotts arm before long anyway. That “run the ball” crap is lip service. Jerry’s got 90m a year tied up in Dak and Lamb and Pickens was his big splash. This isn’t going to be a running team on that alone.

I would have added Nick Chubb to the mix. He's another one who underperformed but he was so good before his injury. If he bounces back, he might be special again. Glad he ended up staying in the AFC.

Now, just like our two vets, he might be finished, but I would have taken that chance, especially with all the other darts we're throwing.
