I went with 11. Considered 10. Homerism, put me at 11.
I had us between the 8th and 10th team in the NFC, possibly sneaking in as a WC.
After the Pickens trade, I have us 6th to 8th team, and probably a WC. I think he makes that difference.

I base this on the three 12-5 seasons, making the playoffs. And Dallas was a favorite to make the playoffs last year, and very possibly winning the NFCE again.
However the injuries started in TC, and week 1, and did not stop.

They still have a good core base for the roster. They lost players and replaced players. But no one significant enough to make a huge difference. Other than Pickens, and what looks like to be another solid daft. If, as always a big IF, those players, and players from the past 2 drafts step up. And what seems to be a better coaching staff.

I do not see any reason why they can win 10 or 11 games, and get a WC spot.
As we know, other teams could drop off from last year as well Giving that opening for a playoff spot.

Probably 9 or 10 wins if we stay relatively healthy and don’t lose Dak for an extended period. It’s going to come down to if Dak stays healthy and how our defense plays. We’re going to need a resemblance of a running game to keep Dak from having to put the ball up 40+ times every week.

I have us at 9-8. I think our passing game and pass rush will make it hard for bad to mediocre teams to be us. However, our interior OL wont just create a running game out of thin air. Our HB room is awful. Add to that we have serious holes at LB, the secondary and run stopping on the DL. I think those factors lower our ceiling greatly

I’m surprised how much everyone is underrating the Pickens acquisition. CD was getting doubled/tripled. No one else could win 1v1. Throw in Pickens, he can’t be guarded by one guy. Dak hasn’t had a WR2 like this & Pickens never had a QB like this. Pickens game compliments Dak. This also opens everything up for other guys. Great hire at OC, run game should have creativity & we have the gadget weapons. Offense will be back in high form. Defense plays with more leads, causes more turnovers/sacks. We’ll see come playoff time, as usual.

My biggest concern is health. If this team is healthy, very dangerous. But we’re already hurt - few more TC injuries & we’re again playing with massive holes/liabilities.

9 or 10 wins sounds about right. Too much top end talent to be a bad team, but they've also left too many holes unaddressed to pencil these guys in for 12 win seasons again. Nothing against each guy individually but the rookie HC & OC combo could come with some growing pains as well. Factor in what seems to be (on paper) a more difficult schedule and 9 just feels like the right number.

So 9 wins. The bookies say 7.5, and they are usually pretty accurate. Dallas will win a game or two they are underdogs (Philly?), but also lose an easy one too.
