Diggs on losing the $500K: "That hurt my feelings."

there is compromises to be made you dummy. they are paying you millions and you are a big investment, so show up to satisfy something small as being there for rehab you selfish idiot.
I was once one of Diggs biggest fan, but he's gone straight cry baby mode, which I am not at all a fan of.

Overshown would never pull this nonsense.

If he is surprised, then he didn't give a damn about any of the details of the contract he signed and only looked at dollar figures.
Not a good look for him and his agent who worked the deal and knew the details.

Or he's lying, which is what a ton of us do when cornered in our own stupidity.

Just listening to him talk, his speech is slurred..he's still on medication

and he has gotten injured two years in a row and they weren't happy about his previous rehab. this is not a surprise.

I'll say it again, I don't think he trusts the Cowboys training staff any longer. I have been saying it over and over and over.

When the NFLPA released their team grades based on their union members votes, below is what was stated about the Cowboys who ranked 12th overall for team grade.

"The major issue in Dallas, based on the responses, is centered around the training room. The players feel like they are very understaffed in this department, and it is difficult to get the necessary preparation and treatment to perform at their best. Only 62% of the players feel like they get an adequate amount of one-on-one treatment time, which ranks 30th in the NFL. The other issue mentioned was that the players feel the training room lacks basic equipment that you would expect to be standard in any other training facility."

He is not the only Cowboys player or recent former Cowboys player with those feelings.

And that's fine, but you work with the team on that front.
You be there and have a mix of the Cowboys trainers working with his private trainers and work through the wrinkles together.

The Spurs do that exact thing with Wembanyama.

This isn't rocket surgery.

Easier said than done. Especially if what pays my bills is my body. The minute I feel you don't know what you're doing with my money maker...I'm selecting trainers who do better.

Ultimately, what he and most players want is to be really good at their position and job. If healthy, he probably feels he is one of the best in the game at CB. So, why not get my knee right and then get back out there?

Just giving you the devil's advocate viewpoint, Corso.

Appreciated. Truly.
I like the cut of your jib.

My response would be, as a player with a team clause, even if you don't trust their trainers, you discuss and come to an agreement rather than just stay in FL and do your own thing then double down saying you will always do your own thing the way you do your own thing and then be surprised when consequences happen.

This^^^^^^ why not both? Could have done what the team asked and still some with his trainer
I'm wondering if Diggs medical team isn't updating the team doctors. Maybe keeping them closer in the loop would avoid this.

Diggs wants out. Let him out.

I won't be surprised if the Cowboys eat it and cut him.

I would consider it.

I can appreciate that stance wholeheartedly.

My thought is that he fully communicated with the team regarding his intentions and likely shared why. He definitely spoke with Schotty about it.

If I was his agent, I wouldn't encourage him to throw away an easy 500k. Even if it meant shoddy rehab and delaying getting back on the field.

My thought is that Diggs wants to rehab properly and be back on the field sooner without re-injury. He wants to play.
