In a loooooooong list of players throwing a fit, when they don't get their way.

Who recalls Browns DE Garrett demanding a trade but once, Santa Claus came, he was once again, ALL in with a team that he ( yes Garrett) never won a division title or a AFC Conference game. He wanted to be paid "like" ( keyword) he was a Superbowl champion.

Now, the latest in line is Micah Parsons, who used the same CARD. Not that card but TRADE ME Card after saying repeatedly, he wants to be a Dallas Cowboys for life.........( unless I don't get paid what, in my head, I am worth)

Players only care about ONE thing: $$ Money $$.
Do I blame him ? No. I would do the same. Get what you can but Parsons, like Garrett, want to be "like" he
is a Superbowl Champion without even getting to a NFC Conference game. Players want $$$$$, fans want WINS
Parsons is already going to make $24Million this season. Everyone reading this would faint, if they got this salary, for one year. But to the diva players, not just Parsons, this is a disrespect. Which takes me to players #2 concern.

Money 1st then being respected is #2. Players want to get respect from their other NFL players and you see why all players support Parsons in : GETTING HIS MONEY. Players can buy their own rings. Winning is far down the list of concerns for the players. Fans want wins. Don't get me wrong. Players do want to win but it definitely on the level as fans. No way !
Sure, once the players get their BRINKS TRUCK backing up into their driveway, THEN they want to win and then demand his teammates care like he, all of a sudden does. Then winning is more important for their legacy/resume.

Number 3 on players list is .... nope not winning but being popular and famous. Love the fans screaming their names, demanding their autographs, getting the media to interview them. Having their podcasts, radio visits and maybe their own show. The team can such but if they are popular and see fans shell out $$$ to wear their jerseys and kiss their feet, they are so pumped up like a mini god.

Winning is for the fans. Fans see players come and go. Players can, without a blink of an eye, play for the Cowboys one season then play for the Commanders/Eagles the next. Could you be a Commanders/Eagles fans next season? Dallas fans has suffered 30 years with crappy Jerry Jones and still remain. We are fans. Players could careless as long as their bread is buttered. Screw the fans, with players letter, on Twitter, to the fans after they leave for another. Especially going to a big rival. All about the money. Players will self deport to the enemy, as long as they get paid.

So don't get so invested into any player. Fans support the clothing. Players support their bank account.
 
I highly doubt Micah is going anywhere, anytime soon....no doubt he'll get his new deal prior to the start of the season or he'll be franchised tagged for the next two years....
 
I vaguely remember a time Mr Parsons wanted a team friendly deal so they could win a super bowl

I vaguely remember Messr Jones saying he would do what it takes to sign Mr Parsons

Same thing, Myles said how he felt, Micah is doing the same. Micah just added more to it/emotions, in the end, MONEY is going to calm the entire situation. Micah WILL be paid, Jerry would like nothing else to be up against a time crunch and shell out money he could shelled out earlier!!

Micah is media smart, and he is using the media to get fan sympathy on his side. He starts out tallking about how he always wanted to play for the Cowboys, then he talked about the amazing fans.... blah, blha, blah.

What has Micah done to be paid as the best in the NFL? The only thing he has in common with Garrett is that they share the same first letter in their first names

200 million dollars will all of the sudden make you want to play for the Cowboys. This is NOTHING we have seen hundreds of times in the past in this league.
 
It worked for Garrett, so Micah apparently thought had to follow suit with similar threats.

I wonder, though, will Micah end up getting a better deal if he honors his current contract by staying with Dallas then tries his luck in FA next spring? A team like Philly might give him a contract that rivals the QB level contracts.

Once again wait until the press conference when they ask him and he says "man I want to be a cowboy for life" etc etc, it's so fake, just get it done and move on

Maybe.

When Parsons announced to the the world, the fans, the players and to the organization that he no longer wants to be a Cowboy that was the point of no return. Even if he stays with the Cowboys in some capacity those words will always linger, including into the locker room and in within the organization.

it wont linger in the locker room for more than 5 minutes. It will always linger with me, a fan. I am not immune from stupid posturing that players do. Say what you want in general terms, but when you declare you no longer want to play for my team.... you are dead to me.

I think that's the one thing he said that he shouldn't have. He could have said I no longer want to be a Cowboy if they are going to continue to disrespect and say things that aren't true.
