The key word being “negotiating”.Negotiating the contract without an agent.
The key word being “negotiating”.Negotiating the contract without an agent.
that invalidates his obligation to the contract how?Micah is not required by law to play for the Dallas cowboys. The contract simply prevents him from playing elsewhere
he should, he's obligated by contractThat’s a non issue. He’s going to play.
He’s not sitting out and missing 24 million dollars.
if he drags ***, he's only hurting himself in respect to future moneyHe’ll start at some point. He will not forfeit a single game check. How inspirational an effort he’ll make remains to be seen. Jerry makes the business decisions off the field. Micah may well make them on the field. Most people would agree one’s health is more important than one’s wealth.
In March he and Perkins are both free agents. Only one can be tagged. Mulugheta represents both. Mulugheta will advise the one that gets tagged not to sign the tender until after the draft to deny the team the opportunity to trade them for 2026 draft capital. The epitaph on the Cowboys’ gravestone should read “Jerry Has All the Leverage”.
He is if he wants to be paid. And if he wants to get accruals towards a completed season so he can become a FA. In which case the Cowboys could just tag him for potentially the next two years.Micah is not required by law to play for the Dallas cowboys. The contract simply prevents him from playing elsewhere
This is a troll job, right? When we drafted Parsons, I was overjoyed. I loved the pick and for a while there I thought we should build around the guy!! I thought he was a true Cowboy. A true Cowboy!! I can’t stand what Parsons has become. He’s become a disappointment and I hate the guy. Jerry Jones needs to trade this man NOW. He’s a toxic me me me first kind of guy and if I was younger, I’d give an uppercut!!!
He has all the talent and that’s why this hurts so much. I thought he would become a legend of this franchise. I thought his talk of taking a team friendly deal might have been true. You know what? I can’t believe I’m saying this but Jerry Jones is the victim in this situation. Parsons is entitled and it’s showing!
"...not even that special". Right. Man this fan base is moronic sometimes. Trade him? For what if he isn't special???very true. Micah talks too much and has proven he just wants the most money and that it is all about him. Not a fan of Dak but at least he played his signed cotract . Micah is not even that special and has disappeared in the important games. Trade him and get the team bette with those picks
Fools gonna fool.I cannot believe you typed this.
I hope so. But then I look at some of the people following this up and I wonder. This is a troll job, right?
I am for trading Parsons to start the rebuild on a proper footing. He is not going to propel the Cowboys into championship contention and his contract, along with Dak, Diggs and Lamb, is prohibitive. At least they can still do something about Diggs and Parsons. The NFL contract culture is why players can make millions to begin w/. And they make millions to perform, so of course career ending injuries mean the NFL is done giving them huge contracts. And BTW, he's already made enough to retire on and live high on the hog. And there's a retirement program, I think it starts at age 55.
Are you for the players getting megamillions, or are you for the Cowboys winning a super bowl?
Jerry certainly holds the cards. But Jerry may be setting himself for long term ramifications too. Players have always loved being in Dallas. The spot light helps their careers. That light has gotten dimmer every year for a long time. And while he holds the cards plsyers/agents remember what owners do. Pay him or trade himJerry holds all the cards but the Cowboys are conducting business like absolute clowns.
Their normal standard.
Why? To make you happy on Sundays and risk a 100+ million in guaranteed money. I’m sure you’d risk a 100 million for Micah’s entertainment too, right? If his verbal agreement is worthless, Micah has a signed contract for this year, How about he honors that and gets on the field.
He gets paid to play, and I only care about the team. I got my own problems, don't care about hisWhy? To make you happy on Sundays and risk a 100+ million in guaranteed money. I’m sure you’d risk a 100 million for Micah’s entertainment too, right?
Exactly, and Micah doesn’t care about yours either. He’s taking his one in a million talent and changing the Parsons lineage for a longHe gets paid to play, and I only care about the team. I got my own problems, don't care about his
He can still be that legend you see in him, He just has to be paid. With all due respect, and I mean that, I blame Jerry and company for not treating him like the player he is. Pay him, and let him tear up the league. When we drafted Parsons, I was overjoyed. I loved the pick and for a while there I thought we should build around the guy!! I thought he was a true Cowboy. time. He doesn’t need to worry about you and vice versa
I dont have the same issues as you, but I do remember his first preseason game and how he was kind of upset sitting on the sidelines when the D was out, after he had already been in the game. I remember Vander Esch talking to him. Now you can say there is someone with a burning desire to play, or you can think hmm, why doesnt he calm down and think more of the big picture. He does seem to go for the sack and just about every single play. I do wonder about him sometimesWhen we drafted Parsons, I was overjoyed. I loved the pick and for a while there I thought we should build around the guy!! I thought he was a true Cowboy. A true Cowboy!! I can’t stand what Parsons has become.
