When we drafted Parsons, I was overjoyed. I loved the pick and for a while there I thought we should build around the guy!! I thought he was a true Cowboy. A true Cowboy!! I can’t stand what Parsons has become. He’s become a disappointment and I hate the guy. Jerry Jones needs to trade this man NOW. He’s a toxic me me me first kind of guy and if I was younger, I’d give an uppercut!!!

He has all the talent and that’s why this hurts so much. I thought he would become a legend of this franchise. I thought his talk of taking a team friendly deal might have been true. You know what? I can’t believe I’m saying this but Jerry Jones is the victim in this situation. Parsons is entitled and it’s showing!

Think of the poor Billionaire owner who just got a 432.6mil check from the NFL from just the media revenue alone.
How dare Parsons not honor some random verbal agreement without his agent present-probably intentionally from Jerry.
I mean, Parsons is asking for possibly 200mil in total salary. How can a guy who has bought a 250mil yacht afford that?

I think we really need to start a GFE for Jerry to pay Parsons outrageous request.
A true Cowboy takes an offer that puts the team first, and allows them to cut him while missing out on guarantees!
Think of the profits, everyone. Stephen's trust fund depends on this deal.

I don’t think anyone else can believe you’re saying it either…

Micah is doing the right thing. If he was to receive a career ending injury in the last year of his contract, the NFL contract culture would drop him like a bad habit. There is no denying Micah is a generational talent and he should exploit that unicorn status to his benefit.

Jerry negotiating without his agent present should get Jerry fined.

He needs to stop playing these stupid games with players only to roll over and give them the biggest contract ever like a clown.

If his verbal agreement is worthless, Micah has a signed contract for this year, How about he honors that and gets on the field.

NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement
ARTICLE 48
NFLPA AGENT CERTIFICATION

(link)

Section 2. Enforcement: Under procedures to be established by agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA, the Commissioner shall disapprove any NFL Player Contract(s) between a player and a Club unless such player: (a) is represented in the negotiations with respect to such NFL Player Contract(s) by an agent or representative duly certified by the NFLPA in accordance with the NFLPA agent regulation system and authorized to represent him; or (b) acts on his own behalf in negotiating such NFL Player Contract(s).

Section 3. Penalty: Under procedures to be established by agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA, the NFL shall impose a fine of $47,000 upon any Club that negotiates any NFL Player Contract(s) with an agent or representative not certified by the NFLPA in accordance with the NFLPA agent regulation system if, at the time of such negotiations, such Club either (a) knows that such agent or representative has not been so certified or (b) fails to make reasonable inquiry of the NFLPA as to whether such agent or representative has been so certified. Such fine shall not apply, however, if the negotiation in question is the first violation of this Article by the Club during the term of this Agreement. It shall not be a violation of this Article for a Club to negotiate with any person named on (or not deleted from) the most recently published list of agents certified by the NFLPA to represent players. The fine amount set forth in this Section shall increase by 5% each League Year beginning in the 2021 League Year.

It's not Micah's fault. It's not Jerry's fault. It's the NFLPA's fault. The union should be negotiating these contracts. A player who hits certain benchmarks (years, stats, whatever) gets X dollars. Players shouldn't be having to negotiate their deals out of a finite pie. This system favors the superstar player and kills the rank and file player who makes up a majority of the league. The union needs to represent everyone equally and it is not.

There is 10s of millions of dollars at stake.

Jerry negotiating against Micah is just stupid.

Jerry has been doing this his whole life. Micah has every right to not honor this. Jerry is trying to sucker him.

What Jerry is doing is disgusting really.

I agree. Love the talent when hes focused. Hate all the other crap. Yes, in some ways Jerry and Stephen are victims in this. In other ways they are the cause due to how they approach extending players. This isn't 1950 lol. You normally don't operate via handshake and verbal agreements today. Thats just a dumb way to operate a business. I feel the agent however has hurt Micahs chances of being here and wouldn't be shocked if him wanting traded was a ploy that the agent cooked up with him. Unfortunately, Micah is taking this charade too far. Both sides need to meet and hammer out either a trade or an extension. The last option would be to keep him and have him play out his final year, revisit this or tag him next march. Here's 1 twist maybe we haven't considered, and we can't rule it out, what if all parties involved are dragging this out KNOWING Micah aint going anywhere and they already have the deal done just not signed?Remember Jerry and the cowboys have the netflix thing due out. The upcoming Netflix series titled "America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys" will premiere on August 19, 2025, and will explore the history and impact of the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones on the NFL. Being the promoter he is, one can wonder.

I like your idea and its a simple fix.
