I said in another comment, if you watched Jerry's cameo in "Landman" I believe he spoke from the heart in that scene, and it's clear WINNING ISN"T EVERYTHING to him. His family is, and he wanted a way for his entire family to be part of the business. We as fans hate this, but if you view things through that lens, you will at least understand his moves.
