Jones family - It's time for an intervention

I see alot of Die hards here, when i can not take anymore I will be done with the NFL..i wont root for any other laundry.
So you are the type that listens to only one musical group? Everyone else you have zero interest?

Jerry’s already inflated ego has grown exponentially in the last few years. Probably thinks because he has the most valuable sports franchise that he rules the sports world. He’s certainly had some success with his 3 Super Bowls and billions in the bank. But what he’s doing lately with these star player negotiations is hurting the football team. It’s a distraction. A huge distraction. Now Jerry likes the distraction, “Any news is good news for the Cowboys” but this is getting out of hand. Time to do something Stephen and kids. It’s all about Jerry right now when it should be all about the team. Please do something about because the Cowboys are currently the biggest joke in the NFL because of all this contract negotiation nonsense.
Welcome to the party, Rocky.

Some of us saw this and have been saying this for years.

News flash for you, Rocko, the Cowboys have been a joke for much more and for much longer than the current negotiation nonsense.

Jerry is a pain in the azz! He's the definition of he who has the gold makes the rules.

Why would they intervene to stop something that has made the entire family more money than they could spend in more than100 lifetimes?
It is a good question for the OP member.

He's the patriarch and the owner. No one has leverage over him and he knows it.

Father time is undefeated.

New ownership is wanted but is not a necessity. The foundation of three Super Bowl winning teams (and an NFC runner-up to boot) was laid when he was the owner who stayed out of his own way. The compromise (which will not happen) is for him to re-adopt the same strategy that worked for him in the first place.
This!

We’re pretty much doomed with a bad front office forever. I suppose there’s a slim chance Stephen steps back and runs the other businesses and the ownership piece I suppose.

He never seemed to have the passion for football that Jerry has. Maybe he lets McClay be GM.

That’s our only hope.

I am convinced Jerry's age is playing a part in his antics, which are getting worse. The gaslighting and story telling is reminiscent of the grandpa that no one wants to sit next to at dinner, but someone has to. Last week he commented that he tried to give Micah's agent an outline of a contract and the agent told him to shove it up his... Micah's agent was asked about it by a reporter and the agent denied it ever happened? Does this sound familiar? It is possible Jerry really believes this happened. It is possible he created this entire story in his head as if it was a memory. This is where Jerry is these days. He is running from camera to camera trying to get all these old stories he has out there as if everyone is chomping at the bit to hear them.

Maybe the people close to him don't see it as they are too close to it at this point. But I am convinced Jerry, at 82, has reached the point where he has lost the ability to keep his primary goals in focus. Running the team is less important than his story telling. He's done and so are the Cowboys until someone steps in and finds a way to remove him from the day to day decision making regarding the Cowboys.

Hopefully an intervention by the NFL front office. Suspend him for 5 years for negotiations with a player without his agent.

I was a big Yankees fan in my younger years and Steinbrenner got Suspended for 5 years and "the stick" Michaels (GM) built a championship team.

If Jerry was incapable for one reason or another and the children decided to bring in a new GM they should consider Daryl Johnston or a former Cowboys player who has half a chance of succeeding.
