I am a fan of this team since 1976. Key word is the team... not the player. Dont get me wrong, I still pop out jerseys to wear when I go to the games, I love the player on our team that helps us win. Whats that guy's name... Michael Lawrence that went to Seattle....... dont give one damn about him. Emmitt Smith in Arizona... dont care about him.

So watching this Parsons thing play out and with the season right around the corner, how many of you are reaching the point where you just dont care anymore what happens with the guy?

I am 55 years old and I absolutely love the NFL. I play in 4 fantasy leagues (one is a family league with relatives on both coasts and includes 3 of my 4 daughters, my wife, son-in-law, and 2 cousins on the east coast and a couple of friends.... including that 4th daughters ex boyfriend) I will attend the home opener, the GB game 2 eeks later, and the Broncos game a month later. Sundays come around and I am in my movie room all day watching multiple games and soaking all the NGL glory in. I love it.

That being said, I am well aware that this team is much better with Michael Parsons than without. I wish he was signed and playing... well, when his back is well enough to play :lmao:. But, I did predict this was going to happen last year during the cee dee situation. I said then, if you think this is bad with CeeDee, just wait till Parsons time comes. Well, its here. Look at him last night lying on the trainers table, no jersey, pouting like a baby that isnt currently under contract and scheduled to make a hefty salary this year. So with the season about to start, what are your feelings heading into the season.

1) You are like me. I simply dont care. If he wants to play, play. If he wants to hold in, or out, or up or down... just do it from home. Because I want Winners! The season is starting, and I will enjoy it with or without the player.

2) how many of you just will not enjoy the games due to this contract situation. I will absolutely drive you nuts as you have to hear for the 20th time during the broadcast next week, how much the Cowboys defense is missing Michael?

Please give your thoughts. :muttley:
All told, I really don't care that much how it ends. It would be different if he were an elite franchise QB but really I just view him as a specialist.

I'm at the point where I could care less, glad season is almost here. Im tired of both Jerry and Micah.....frustrating.......this is not how a champioship franchise is run.....a pi**ing contest does'nt resolve anything.

But what do you expect this is the legenday "Gambler".

I “care” because he is a huge asset
I dont us to sign him long term at his asking price
If we were a 3-4 i might change my opinion but he will not be good value as a 4-3 DE long term
I hope we trade him for a haul by the trade deadline

Bottomline is: are we a better team and have a greater opponent to win with Parsons?

If so, then we should find a way to resign him . And if we believe he’s one of the leagues top edge rushers then guess what, we should pay him as such.

Now , if you don’t believe he’s one of the top edge rushers in the league then fine, I can understand your position. We should let him go and try to obtain as much trade value as possible .

And if as a result of paying Dak and Lamb last year market price we can’t afford him , then fine. Let’s trade him and move on.

The rest simply looks like bad mgmt on us.

Perhaps we should have a discussion on whether we believe Parsons is one of the top edge rushers in the league.

Cause if you believe he’s is then you pay the man what top edge rushers are making.

If not you move on and get as much as you can for him. That’s what good teams do.

A top 5 player in the league, who actually loves the game isn't whats best for the team? gtfohwtbs
Look I like Parsons, I hold him to a high regard, but he is not top 5 in this league, he's a top five defensive player, maybe.

did you look at the top 100 He is not number 5.. I know a lot of people have opinions and rankings and lists, but Parsons is not top five in this league.

He's one of the top players and he's might be a top five defensive player, but there are a lot of really good players in this league quarterbacks receivers running backs that you would put before him that are impactful on their teams, including his own peers, like TJ Watt Myles Garrett, Nick Bosa , Trey Hendrickson, Maxx Crosby, some of the other young guys coming up with the pass rushing..

I get sometimes why people just blurt out hey he's top 5 in the league but really without thinking he is not...

I don't give a flyin flip for any of the off-field antics, so many of them staged, by any level of the organization, player to owner.

OK, I lied. I care about the players. I'm big on human tanks in bubble wrap lumbering down field to simulate what used to be an excessively violent game. It still has that animal draw, that instinct-inducing fight-or-flight response. Power! Exhilarating!

My heart and mind are for the game, the strategy, the tactics and the skill of the monsters on the field. And my own cultural upbringing was with Dandy Don and Craig Morton, Calvin Hill and Tony Dorsett.
I love football and I love the 'Boys. I will cheer the :star: no matter who is chosen to wear it. It doesn't matter who's authorized to wearing the uniform or why they were selected. I will cheer the Star!

But if we’re just trying to puff out our chest and show the world we can be stubborn and try to change the NFL paying top athletes Market Price , we will lose.

If we really want to keep him, we will cave. If not then move on. No shame in that. Get all you can in a trade.

But if we’re in this just to prove a point we have bigger balls. It could cost us even more than a generational talent .

Then you trade him to a team that does believe he’s worth it. Its really that simple.

But I don’t believe, at least from what we’ve heard thus far, that’s the case.

to me its not about Micah, he can stay or go both can be good options. Its about our fool owner causing self inflicted team harm for his media ego instead of just resolving things THEN letting the media report on it.... Jerry doesnt care how this effects the team he only cares there are cameras on him again.

I am a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
I root for the players on the field, regardless if I like them or not.
There have been some players I disliked. But when on the field I rooted for them to do well. For the sake of the team.

I am to the point, I prefer they trade Micah. But if he plays or not, will not affect me once the games start for real. Well it does not affect me now. But if he decides to play or a new contract is agreed on. I am fine with that too. Though I really would like a few 1st round draft picks or more.

You're star struck, bro.

Ya'll hate Jerry and think he's horrible as a GM, but yet some of you think just like him.
Parsons has talent backing him up, not just a name. If you don’t eant talent on the team, just say that.

I remember people on here begging for years to draft a top tier pass rusher... now yall don't want him because we wants to be paid like a top tier pass rusher.

Sit and think about what you want out of this team... be under the cap or a good team in running for a SB.
