Make Hurts throw into coverage and try to stop Barkley with the standard D. That may not have worked either. Maybe Barkley would have gashed them. But Hurts is very good when you give him favorable passing situations. Not so good throwing into coverage.

Missed that Mafah was on the initial 53 after reading he was headed to IR. I guess that he and Carson could not be put on IR until first being on the roster?

I would probably park Grier and Adeniji on the practice squad and bring them up, but if we do that with Goodwin, we can only bring up one other, so one will have to be placed back on the 53.

They used the two IR to return spots on Mingo & Payton Turner. So to allow Mafah & Carson to return from IR they have to be on the 53 for a day.

Don't know if that's correct. Both Mingo and Turner have been designated IR to return and they were placed on it before the final cuts. I believe this is for IR without a return. The idea is that they don't want teams to stash players for a season, so they make them keep those players on the initial 53. I believe we can only have a couple of players with the IR-return designation (or maybe it's if you do more than two the extras have to be on the
