The area of concern through the off season, was in the secondary and defensive tackle positional groups.
Doubt was spread like mayonnaise on french fries in Holland before a Tulip Show.
If the corners take out the #1 WR and TE, that gives the defensive line much longer to wreck an opponent's offense. This all affects attacking an opponent's running game as well. When the Dallas gears up and produces scores, it then reflects in turn-overs for Dallas and clock/field positions advantages. Game changers.
Injury concerns, the value on the sidelines and needing to return to play on the defensive side are:

These are relevant and will add significantly in team depth of play and power in quality of play. These 3 players will help against the run and passing games of opponents.

Let's look at the real picture of players right now;
The biggest and strongest group are the defensive linemen. Pressure and sacks are a huge part of the Cowboys defense. It changes games around and provides lot's of game changers directly or in combination with the secondary.

Most of the time, the defense will be in a package and two linebackers on the field; With the return of Overton, this will be one of the very best groups professionally.
