I mean, the NFL draft is about potential and if the player can translate his success from college to the NFL.
Deuce had a very good college career. It was just his size-and then speed for his size, that gave pause to his NFL abilities.

I don't think he was drafted purely for PR/his dad working there. He did great in college. Just that it was a risk that it wouldn't translate to the NFL.

I feel bad in general for the guys who busted their *** to then realize that is it. That's their peak, and it's not the level of being consistently on a roster.
But, it's life.

No, not at all. Being the solution does not mean the QB has to do it all. The solution still needs a D and a running game. And that's when Rodgers won it all, top 5 D and Starks.

Honestly, where did anyone say that the QB has to do it all himself?

That is debateable. I heard the same blather about Colt McCoy, and he did not have a strong enough arm.

If he hires a GM as he has stated he will, he will have experts helping him. Completely different scenario than Jerry as GM.

They havent won since, they have had obscure and mind boggling penalties called against them at the most inopportune times, and just cant seem to put it all together.

Yes there is a lot more to that story. Also on Jerry, but to sit here and act like its not plausible at all and we are all nuts for thinking there has been an issue is mind boggling to me.

I don’t think there’s any correlation. The amount if money to be made from a Cowboys SB seems big enough to get over any type of ill the league may have had.
 
IMO we watched a true noodle arm in Rush be a solid backup.

To me, McCord is a backup QB in the NFL. The question is does he have the ability to read a defense their windows quick enough to get the ball there.
Rush developed and could, albeit limited routes. But for the most part he was good enough to be a bus driver to keep the team in games and pull out wins.

Carter was way below average. Don't fall for the playoff appearance w/ his 17/22 TD/INT ratio, that was the #1 D in the NFL. Carter was terrible.

Whenever I log in the first thing that pops up are Profile Posts. You always see him posting on on of the mods profiles tattling on a poster he picked a fight with.
 
They should have paid Rush to stay as backup. He's proven time and time again that the team can still win some with him. Now we're in worse shape without him.

A few years ago Sam Howell led the league in passing through 6 weeks. Then it all came crashing down. But it's hard to do that if you suck. He's a solid backup.
 
I’ve really come around on the doc. It’s really good, especially if you were around in that era.

Still confused about the OP and what the comments have to do with the documentary.

The more I watch, the more I’m enjoying it. Some of the insanity that went on makes me amazed we kept it together enough to win three.

Good topic...unfortunately, some can't just talk real football and need to turn everything positive, into a negative, and they get their feelings hurt when they or another hater, gets called out. Must suck, being them.
