The DL needs more than MP, to take this team to the next level.
In this scheme and under the current staff, the current defensive tackles combined with the current linebackers will stabilize the run defense and put games in the hands of the offense.

That is using reason and player knowledge instead pessimism and years running doubt. Sorry...that lies to an observer.

What did the Ravens do to the Dallas defense? That is most current and indicative when added to the real starters.

Night and day difference.
Yeah…one was constantly getting in trouble off the field, one held out with 2 years left on his rookie contract and one didn’t even show up to camp or pre season games to at least be around his teammates.

Maybe partly because the Zeke deal that resulted from that holdout turned out to be a terrible contract?
In hindsight, because he didn't live up to it. But Zeke did Jerry a favor. The 7 years he was here, Dallas only had 1 bad cap hit. That's because they extended him after 3 years instead of 4.

But when you think about it, had Zeke not done that, he probably wouldn't have gotten extended at all. Even though he had a good 2019, his burst was gone.

You can timestamp for YouTube. You just have to convert your time to seconds. At the end of the YouTube link, you have to type in "&t=147s" for the timestamp you want here. Here's that same link posted below cued up to where you wanted it:
I know that, but apparently when you have to click through to watch on YT, it doesn't work. At least it didn't work for me in the link you posted there. (It does work on vids you're allowed to watch here.)

I’m just curious why there seems to be so much more animosity towards Micah than there was zeke. I’m sure some of you weren’t happy with zeke’s holdout, myself included, but he also took his big whiny head and flew off to Cabo and didn’t return until he became the all time highest paid rusher which was just in time for the first regular season game. He wasn’t even at camp or pre season games.

On top of that, he came with a lot more headaches than Parsons AND he held out with TWO years left on his rookie contract which I don’t recall ever being done by any player. He also played a much less premium position but IIRC there was much more support for him than Micah and “pay the man” statements.

Personally I’m not happy with any of them, including Jerry, but if I had to pick one I’d would be supporting Micah much more than zeke. So what gives?
I think it's because he's in the spotlight and acting the fool. A supervisor once told me, it's not what you do, it's how you look doing it.

I say trade him. Not because I want to lose him…. But because the draft picks will make the draft more interesting. I’ve given up hope on competing for a championship, so I’m willing to settle for being entertained on draft day.

Now where do you put DaRon Bland and Sharon Revel? And guess what, the pass rush will elevate the secondary.

Secondary holding onto receivers longer will improve sacks and pressure quite a bit.
So far all I've seen from the secondary is sitting beyond the sticks on third down.

When Quinn got here the defense was horrific. He couldn't change their skillset but he played to their strengths. So far I've only seen the scheme matters more than the guys playing it. I hope it's not the same once the season begins

So if I understand this correctly, if Micah flew to Cabo and sat out until he became the highest paid DE ever (but never previously said that he wanted to be) you would have felt the same about him as you did zeke?
Who said I was pro paying Zeke how it happened?

I simply gave you what turned me sour on Mecah.

If Green bay wants Micah they will need to start off with Golden

He was actually the worst offender. He wasn't holding out for an extension. He was holding out for more money than he previously agreed to in his contract.
And he clearly didn’t deserve it as his play was average and headed to poor.

There's no reason why we're not getting these guys the ball, and or why we're forcing the ball to players that aren't these 3. The offensive game plan should be solely to get them the ball early and often. These other wrs (Tolbert/Flournoy) better be glad they made the team, and play their role when/if they're called upon. These guys need to be team players and realize that our main weapons are top priority! Put your egos and feelings aside!

Turpin of course can get some passes, will probably get a few handoffs too! I'm excited to see what the big 3 does! Please give your thoughts!
We need a running game. We don't have Kurt Warner in shotgun. I don't trust Dak constantly throwing into coverage.

I understand what you guys are saying about Martin but maybe most people weren’t as harsh because they felt like he already paid his dues, at least I did. He played at a high level for damn near a decade and never had any drama off the field. zeke on the other hand, had played what 3 friggin years before holding out and surrounded himself with drama from day 1. Parsons is on year 4 and seems to care more about his “brand” than football.

And he clearly didn’t deserve it as his play was average and headed to poor.
It's not just that. People don't realize how bad of a precedent that sets. The other holdouts were asking for more money in the future. That will always happen. But you can't have guys wanting to tear up their current deal for more money.

I think it's because he's in the spotlight and acting the fool. A supervisor once told me, it's not what you do, it's how you look doing it.
Lol, but Zeke wasn’t? He was in the spotlight acting a fool a hell of lot more than Parsons ever did.
