BREAKING NEWS ***** Cowboys are trading LB Micah Packers to Green Bay Packers *****

Depending on cap hits, they should explore moving Prescott in-season and Trevon Diggs in-season as well.

Prescott could fetch another 1st and maybe another pick (3rd rounder). Not sure what Diggs market would be but explore it and stockpile picks.

The Cowboys are looking up at Philly, Washington, and maybe New York if Dart is the real deal. Do a full reset. Jerry can handle the marketing part for the next 5 years to keep the team relevant.
Dak isn’t getting a first, especially playing half a season off this injury and this roster, including himself.

First round defensive end and running back. First, QB...

I don't understand why people think Micah did SO much for us. Not ALL his fault, as we didn't have much interior to go with his edge...but what difference does it make.

So for the doom and gloomers...."We're gonna lose ALL our games now!"...maybe we end up with draft pot of gold? At least that brings some hope for the future- couple years or so.

Instead of perpetual average draft spots.

Imagine if we draft top 5 along with the 2 1sts.
Only if they move up to take Arch Manning is it worth it. Otherwise it's all wasted.

I hope we stack U of M players with all those first round picks! lol

The only way this trade is worth it is if the Cowboys have 5 win season and they use those extra #1 draft picks to move up and draft Arch Manning. Other than that these first round picks are gonna be around #30. LMAO stupidity at its finest
Arch Manning hasn't produced anything. Why would you make that statement?

I just hope Agent O comes back healthy and picks up where he left off before he got injured. When Micah went out O shined and I’m sure that also played a role in making this move.
There's that but don't discount Fowler, Houston, and EazyE, Kneeland etc , Plus they got a defensive tackle he's supposed to be pretty good he's a Pro Bowl defensive tackle I don't know if he's a pure nose tackle I didn't do any research yet this is too shocking to do any research...

Cowboys will be able to create a pass rush it just won't be the same without him No doubt he's going to be a big loss well one week before the Eagles and now we gotta act like he blew his knee out and we're missing him in action...

I do believe they'll be able to create pass rush there's enough players there and they even brought someone to their practice squad so I think that they'll find a way to do it as a team and blitz and they'll figure it out... But one player is bigger than the team that's my take on it.

Cowboys fans Can't tell me with a straight face that you think that he was worth keeping here for $47 million a year Could you imagine what they were asking from Jerry they were mad at Jerry his agent and Jerry weren't getting along it probably was 50 million you remember there was a rumor going around that they wanted four years 200 million and Jerry said no I thought that was a fake number but I think it was real now I think the agent told Jerry that's the new number deal with it and they took 47 million from the Packers they gave them a discount..

Hahahahahahaha.....now you know why I haven't watched ONE second of Cowboy pre-season football....if this team was smart, they could have gotten MUCH more for him earlier....same could have been said for Lamb....and letting Dim walk after last season and starting over. Sooooo glad I decided to become just a VERY casual observer of this S show....they are truly a laugh a minute.

Disgusting. The one player that was gonna make this garbage season semi watchable.

I’m sick of the joneses

I’m sick of being the most valuable franchise in the whirled

most of all I’m sick of not winning anything.

and In closing if you’re praising this move I hope your favorite drink tastes slightly off for the rest of Jerry’s life or Micah’s career. Whichever ends first.

Same here, and I've never seen success with this team. Since becoming a fan in late 99, the best I've seen is a division round appearance. I started with 5-11 seasons. Yet, somehow, this is the worst moment as a fan. We traded our best player to one of our biggest rivals. Just when I thought the Cowboys couldn't upset me more, they do this.

I wonder how the team feels about this. I bet they are not feeling good. Parsons was the strongest link on a weak defense.

Kenny Clark isn't even a top 20 DT. Dude isn't even in the top 100 players. We got waxed in this trade. Probably 2 late first rounders and an aging DT who isn't even a top 20 DT.

I mean just yuck.

Here’s how Kenny Clark performed as a defensive tackle in the 2024 NFL season, based on Pro Football Focus (PFF) ratings:

Overall PFF Grade & Context

  • Overall Grade: 59.3, placing him at the 85th percentile among 219 interior defenders PFF+13PFF+13SI+13.
  • Pass Rush Grade: 63.1 (72nd out of 219 interior defenders) PFF.
  • Run Defense Grade: 57.1 (83rd of 219 interior defenders) PFF+11PFF+11FTN Fantasy+11.

These figures indicate Clark delivered roughly average overall performance, with slightly above-average pass-rushing and slightly below-average run defense.

Pass-Rushing & Run Defense Metrics

According to SI.com, among 113 interior defensive linemen with at least 147 pass-rushing snaps:

  • 52nd in pass‑rushing productivity (sacks, hits, hurries per pass‑rush snap)
  • 38th in pass‑rush win rate
  • His sack rate dropped significantly from 1.8% to 0.3%, and total pressures decreased from 61 to 33 Reddit+7SI+7SI+7.

On the run defense side, among 105 interior defenders with at least 145 run snaps:

  • Ranked 42nd in run‑stop percentage
  • Missed 4 tackles (9.8%) and had an average tackle depth of 2.1 yards—slightly better than his career average of 2.3 yards Packers Forum+13SI+13FTN Fantasy+13.

Summary & Grade

Putting it all together:

  • Overall PFF rating of 59.3—generally considered “average” for starters Packers Forum.
  • Pass‑rush performance: Modest—middle of the pack with lower sack and pressure totals than in prior seasons.
  • Run defense: Slightly below-average but with marginal improvement in tackle depth.
  • SI Report Card: Gave him a “Grade: F”—not necessarily reflecting play quality, but highlighting a performance underwhelming relative to his high salary cap cost SI+2FTN Fantasy+2.

Final Assessment

Clark’s 2024 PFF-based evaluation paints a picture of an average to slightly underwhelming year at a position where he typically set expectations higher. While not a poor performance in raw metrics, his output fell significantly short of what would be expected from a high-paid, cornerstone defensive tackle.

If you're curious, I can help dig into how he compares to other DTs in 2024 (e.g., Aaron Donald, Dexter Lawrence), or how his trend lines look year-over-year. Let me know if you’d like a deeper breakdown!
He played with a foot injury in 2024 which has been repaired and had great camp. Go look at his numbers before the injury.

This trade needs to rival Herschel Walker type picks
Totally different era. The picks are worth so much more in the salary cap era. I'd argue that the team that gives up multiple 1sts almost always regrets it

Honestly, I'd be there if I could tone my fandom down about this team. Unfortunately, between my fursona being heavily Cowboys based (though the star is more decoration at this point) and being a diehard fan, I can't get there just yet.
