QBs will be able to roll out right and hold on to the ball longer.

It won't be many. Eberflus blitzes less than most defensive coordinators. He believes in winning with your front four, unless you just can't do that.

EZ has just been thrown into the fire. They need him not be able to not be blocked one on one. I would love this defense if we kept Parsons and traded a second rounder for Clark. Eberflus is a good coordinator. He should have a good game plan. Hopefully Mazi learns from Clark and can actually do something by the end of the year.

My main problem (other than most of these players being unproven) is there are questions about all of them except Kneeland as run defenders.

I'm starting to wonder if we might use Solomon Thomas at end on first down as a run defender. Thomas is not a good run defender as a DT but he'd probably be similar to what we got from Golston as a run-defending end.

I could see our first-down lineup being DE Kneeland, NT Clark, DT Odighizuwa and DE Thomas. Then, bringing in Fowler, Williams, EZ and Houston depending on down and distance.

When I watched I saw teams allowing him to get up the field and running delayed draws to the gap he left vacated. Yes, saw teams having their pulling blocker take him out of the play. He saw this often against ironically the Packers in that playoff loss.

Actually thought the run defense was far better when Parsons played off the ball earlier in his career. Remember Quinn had him off the ball against the 49ers in their 2nd playoff matchup where they kept McC in check for three quarters before they wore down

The Cowboys have two moveable guards and a center who can down field blocks. Match that with strong blocking tight ends and even a backfield place linemen as Dallas some talented linemen as game depth.

A ton of question marks. Kneeland, Williams have done nothing. Eze is a unproven rookie. Houston was on the street. Fowler is the talent for now the rest is potential, at best. The "hope" these guys turn into a good group, but they have to grow into recognition. Now, interestingly, the DT position is talented and imo will lead the DL in production. As a whole, I'm encouraged about the potential of the DL, so don't get me wrong.

They will be a hungry bunch that is motivated. They saw how much money that Parsons got. They want some of that money too.

I'm not sure if the Cowboys will add any more DL's this year, but I wouldn't. They have plenty of bodies and why not see what they can do. Start looking at who they want and can plan on in the future.

This is another reason Parsons got traded. Anyone else see him bullying Houston and Houston just looks back at someone like WFT?

He also wouldn't come off the field. So all those DEs and only two can play, one other one besides Little Michael.

All I want is them to do the job and not play hero football. #1 priority is outside containment and force plays inside where there are more bodies
